Moore may have won the Heisman with that, Flutie style.
But Boise can shut up about being one of the big guys. Nevada isn't anything special and they can't stop them.

Auburn had close games against teams like Miss St.

Then came back and beat the defending national champs on the road. Nevada is supposed to be this conference's best, outside of Boise.

Shanking back to back is not a BCS bowl team.
-
Really feel for that guy now.
Wow.

looks like only half of the 29k in attendance cared to rush the field.

How so? They wouldn't jump either 1 or 2.
-
the win over a 19th ranked team would help and I'd think that the voters would help out. Might be wishful thinking but had they gone undefeated 2 years in a row I think they'd deserve a chance.

"Don't Stop Believing"
Love how the PA guy introduced it by saying "NEVADA FANS, DO YOU BELIEEEEEVE?"

But Auburn beat bama, and Oregie beat ranked AZ and now OSU in civil war.

I'm saying if AU loses in the SEC CCG, and boise went undefeated.
-
A win over UNR would have probably been enough to jump TCU but they would still have needed Auburn or Oregon to lose bext week. No way an undefeated SEC or Pac 10 team is left out in favor of a Boise St or TCU. This isn't a lifetime achievement trophy, it's only for this season's accomplishments. Boise was rewarded for last year with a high ranking to start this season.

By Chris Murray, Reno Gazette-Journal
RENO — After Nevada's Anthony Martinez kicked the game-winning field and ran around wildly with his helmet pumping victoriously over his head, the lyrics Don't Stop Believing pulsed through a raucous Mackay Stadium.
It was the No. 19 Wolf Pack who used those lyrics as its motto – not only during this historic season, but also during its jaw-dropping 34-31 overtime upset of No. 3 Boise State.
When Nevada lined up as two-touchdown underdogs against what appeared to be an unbeatable Boise State team, the Pack didn't stop believing.
When it fell behind 17-0 midway through the second quarter, the Pack didn't stop believing.
When Kyle Brotzman lined up for what appeared to be a game-winning 26-yard field goal with 2 seconds left in regulation, the Pack didn't stop believing.
That faith was rewarded in front of a sellout crowd of 30,712 frozen fans Friday night as the Wolf Pack fought and clawed for the biggest victory the program's 104-year history.

That game was crazy...Couldn't believe. Question: Why was there only 1 camera view of the missed field goal?
They had like 3 of the made one. Seems like a conspiracy to me. :users:

I thought it was hot in Reno. That looked rough ridin' cold.

it looked so cold that it was making me rough ridin' cold.

For some reason I was getting the vibe last night that Nevada would win. Even when down in the first half, I had seen Nevada play enough I thought they could get on a roll.
I don't know why, but it happens from time to time, I thought (maybe hoped) that BSU would miss that field goal at the end of regulation. I was positive they would miss the one in OT.
Sometimes there are games out there that teams are either destined to win or lose. Last night just seemed to be one of those games.
It sure was fun to watch.

Dude! Me too! :horrorsurprise:

is Boise's kicker going to move and change his name?
Maybe he can move in with Steve Bartman.
