I don't know how it would have effected the offense, but it would have been interesting to see him try to guard Irving from time to time as it was obvious Frank was going to die by the sword of pressuring him all night.

Would have helped, but not much on Irving.

I bet open scholarship would have hit a few threes tonight.

Sutton wouldn't have a chance on Irving or N. Smith. K-State played good defensively on everyone else.
-
Absolutely he would have helped. McGruder was an absolute non-factor offensively.
-
Sutton would foul out trying to keep up with Irving or Smith
-
We have him on the team. His name is Jamar Samuels. He would not have helped except defensively because Gruder is atrocious.

Just to be sure, we are talking about Dominique Sutton's offensive capabilities, right? Against Duke's defense no less. Yeah, I'm sure Dom would have lit them up for a free throw.

My point was that since we got nothing from gruds, getting nothing from Dom would not have hurt us, while Dom's defense would have been far superior to grud's.
-
Dom would get killed trying to stay in front of Irving. He couldn't even stay in front of Jimmer last year.
-
With Sutton, you wondered before every big game if he would help.
-
A guy sitting behind me said several times that we missed Sutton. At first I thought he was an idiot, but the more I thought about it the more I still thought he was an idiot.
-
Much of Curt's success in the paint was due to the respect of Rodney on the wing. Dom doesn't get that. We're fine with Rodney.

I honestly thought you were making a joke about how inept Dom was on Offense. McGrud's >>> Dom imho.
I thought Dom's defense was a little overrated the last 2 years, and his inability to do anything on offense made it that much harder on everyone else to score. McGruds is as good a rebounder, if not a little better, despite being shorter and less "long". I think McGrud's defense is solid. Who was he marking most the night? Singler? I think he did fine.

no

Only if instead of almost hitting someone last year he actually threw a punch and knocked irving out
