I am having super strong feelings, all negative, about Duke right now.   Super strong.

Do Duke fans always bet on their team like Nebraska football fans do?

I'm feeling pretty good, we looked better than Duke last night and we are A LOT better than Marquette. We can't rely on the 3 as much as we did last night though, we were on fire..

I think  :ck: will have a big game tonight, knocked the rust off last night, ready to get all  :alleyoop: and  :block: tonight while I'm all  :drink: and  :ksu:

kstate interior defenders could do nothing with sacre last night.  he did whatever he wanted.  duke has 3 guys with similar size and athleticism.  though perhaps only one of them has equivalent skills.

duke played small a lot against mu, but mu is a small, very fast team.  should be a totally different game tonight (from either game).  duke can play big against kstate, and isn't going to pack things inside against the kstate bigs like gonzaga did.

similar size and athleticism?

sacre is probably the strongest player in college basketball and is 7'0 and weighed 250 last year.  it looks like he's gained a little weight/muscle since.  He's a freak of nature.

If Duke plays big ala Singler at the 3 then Martin will spread the floor and take him to the hole which will create fouls early.  I bet K goes with Singler at the 4 tonight for that reason.  KSU has too much speed on the perimeter to go big with their lineup of slow white boys unless they play zone...which doesn't seem logical either.

the cats have a strength and athletic advantage inside tonight IMO.

I can tell you what to do, but you don't have to listen.

I want to tell you to stop posting this trash.

I have.

finally! a shot at our sister school... i hope we play a heck of a lot better than we did last night and slap her around a bit

that two-minute stretch... mid to late in the first half... was pricelessly brilliant (shows what potentially we can be)... but if we don't hit some free-throws and get the ball inside tonite... and unless the fools gold coin keeps landing on the edge... we're probably in trouble

agree with your assessment.  sacre was much bigger than anyone on duke or marquette, or k-state.  the guy is simply huge.

that said, mason plumlee is bigger than anyone on our roster and plays strong  as hell.   he'll give us problems down low but he's still learning his position, we need to throw different defensive looks at him and confuse him.

Silver lining:  KenPom projects one non-con loss for Duke, and we currently have the best chance, percentage-wise.

Might want to start with, y'know, playing a little defense down low before moving on to the master class of "throw[ing] different defensive looks at him."

Also: Kenpom lists this game as a semi-road game for Duke instead of a neutral site.

Anyone see Tully Corcoran calling Sacre "comically bad" on Twitter last night.

be fair.  we play a lot of defense in the paint.  so much so that we pushed gonzaga to the perimeter despite them having the biggest person on the planet playing for them.  if we're out of position, we are going to foul the living crap out of you down low.  there are few easy baskets in the paint  (minus the back door layups we still love to give up in year 4 of Frank Martin).

Yes.  As effective as Sacre was at getting to the line, he shot a terrible percentage from the floor.
