hopefully the newcastle was on tap, hard to be draft newcastle.
my last trip to the triangle had me hating all things UNC. they call themselves sister schools, and there's a good reason for it.
-
Buffalo Wild Wings?
-
What kind of wings? Spicy garlic is my fave.
-
Yes, it's the closest establishment to my place.
Even if it wasn't I would still go there. Boneless Thursday tonight you know.

qft.
Is there anything more embarrassing at a restaurant than sitting with someone who is an ass to the waiter/waitress? Makes me  the entire meal.

not when you imagine the waiter/waitress in the back messing with their food. You saw the movie Road Trip, right? :fatty:

Are you kidding . . . rule #1: Be extremely nice to the food service/bartender folks.
They love me; strong tipper, good conversationalist, not demanding . . . 2 out of the 3 Bartenderettes are smoking hot.
Not in Connecticut BTW :curse:

Can you walk me through a typical one of these conversations? They sound amazing btw.

probably working their way through college.
-
I don't talk to the help. I'm pleasant, but don't want to extend the conversation. I think they probably get tired of listening to people talk anyways.

...non college attending (in 9 out of 10 cases) blue collar bandwagon ku fans during a ku game. The angst, the below average sense of self worth, the rage, the need for validation and affirmation, the group think, the overwrought sense of entitlement based on a basketball team etc. etc. etc.
Yep, that about sums it up. They are a special breed, indeed. They jovially recount stories about the Hawk and the Wheel; places they've never actually been, but heard alot about through facebook. Through their two semesters at Johnson County Community College they developed a deep seeded hatred of K-State and, ironically, hold an air of superiority when addressing the hicks from out west.
And of course, their associate's degree in communications serves as a green light to refer to all KU basketball palyers by their first names.

if you went to any school not named Kansas State on either side of the border b/w Kansas and Missouri, then you are by default, a HUGE Jayhawk fan.

Just can't get down with boneless wings. Don't care for breaded wings either. Also, I am so super happy that :driving: made it over here. Love that little bastard.

Deal with all the time.
So I go to the regular place to drink a Newcastle and have some wings and watch sister school Duke vs. UNC.
I encountered a cadre of non college attending bandwagon UNC fans. The Duke fans in the house had elite, college attending white collar job(s) written all over them.
The UNC fans reminded me what it's like for those you in KC metro who choose to visit an establishment frequented by non college attending (in 9 out of 10 cases) blue collar bandwagon ku fans during a ku game. The angst, the below average sense of self worth, the rage, the need for validation and affirmation, the group think, the overwrought sense of entitlement based on a basketball team etc. etc. etc.
I just want to let you know, that when you encounter these situations Ol' Dax is with you in spirit.
Godspeed in eliteness and precious bodily fluids.
funniest thing about your post is that deep down inside you know the ku fans mirror the duke fans. lol
