Anybody watching this? The Yankee's stadium set-up doesn't look horrible but I haven't seen a good aerial view yet. Anyone seen one yet?
-
The greens!

I liked Army's unis too. You see Miami's helmets? rough ridin' BA.
-
The CU loss probably sets us up nicely for the Pinstripe Bowl. (Still not cheered up by that, though.) :frown:
-
I just don't know why the Pinstripe would want us. Seems like it would make more sense for them to pick east coast teams. I don't see our fanbase traveling well to NYC.

o/u on how many more posts in this thread before you get "it."

The #7 team from the ACC could well be Boston College. Instead, they're looking at a 6 or 7 win team from the midwest. Which team would put more people in the stands?

You think they got to choose the Big12?
-
Well, they did sign a 4 year contract with the Big 12, so I'm assuming they had some say-so in the matter. I kinda doubt Steinbrenner just said: "Just give me a couple of teams, I don't care who they are."

But you think they had the ACC on the table and they said, "No thanks. Give me the conference where half the teams almost got dumped into the Mountain West!"

Now you're trying to claim that "us" and "our fanbase" in your earlier post meant the entire Big 12?
-
Not the entire Big 12, just the sort of teams that would be around for them to invite. ISU, Baylor, KSU, etc. None of those teams is going to travel especially well to a shitty bowl.

Which of ISU (which is bowl-ineligible), Baylor, etc. is an east-coast team that you can't understand why the Pinstripe Bowl would take us ahead of?
-
I'm saying they should never have made those tie-ins. None of the teams that would be around for them to select is going to travel across the country to watch a shitty bowl. They should have made a deal with the ACC in the first place. The ACC #7 now plays in the Independance Bowl against a freaking MWC team. I guess the Pin Stripe is just hoping that either one of the traditional big time Big 12 schools will have a bad year or that ND will still be available. I guess one of those things will happen occasionally. I hope we end up in that new bowl in Dallas, that's probably the only bowl our fans would travel well to.

jtksu is flopping around like crazy in this thread.

It's difficult to have a conversation with retards.
-
It's difficult to recover from the ridiculous crap I said early on.
-
Doom- would you enlighten me as to how conference realignment talks had a bearing on the negotiations for the pinstripe bowl? Can those guys see into the future?

You wanted to say this:

and you typed this:
