His beloved defense gave up 38 pts to freakin' Minnesota.  That's like losing to Colorado or Kansas.  How many pts did Cosh and Company give up to #17 Mizzou, in Columbia?  How about Okie State?  Texas?  Cosh rules and Vic drools!!!  Lol!!  ROFL!!!  LMAO!!!

How about Illinois giving up the same amoun of pts to Minnesota today as we gave up to Mizzou?  Oh, and Illinois has better Jimmies than we have Joes.  What was Vic's favorite thing to say about Jimmies and Joes?  I can't remember because that supposed recruiting guru landed jackshit for recruits while he was here.  "I have a 4* DT that will follow me anywhere." -Vic

So, Vics scoring defense is better too?  And your point is :dunno:

And the Big 10 is better than the Big 12 for the first time in a while.  OSU, Iowa, Wisky, and maybe Mich St would win the Big 12.

I'm trying to remain calm but I am really scared about who could be his replacement.  I really need a homerun hire and preferably one who could be our next HC.  I'm afraid neither will be the case though.  Maybe, if we get a guy like Leavitt, he will demand that he is able to bring in some of his own staff.  Probably just wishful thinking.

Never said Cosh was good, just pointing out that Vic isn't much better.  I don't want a DC that has his team in the 50's, I want to be back in the top-25.  Vic was supposed to be some master recruiter and he has never really showed that ability, even at places like Clemson.  Dude has had basically zero good/great recruits attributed to him.  We need a hotshot recruiting DC.  We need a Venables type of guy.

No idea what those rough ridin' numbers mean, but I don't need a rough ridin' "DE" to know that our defense is absolutely rough ridin' awful.  We are dead last in the nation in yards per rush defense.  Per game or scoring numbers are meaningless because of the way our offense shrinks the game.  Cosh is rough ridin' horrendous...don't give me this "talent' bullshit argument...LAST IN THE NATION!

If you looked at the ones from the CPI this year,  they did take into account SOS.  I was too lazy to adjust the previous years' DE for SOS.  The #'s above are raw, but if I did account for SOS I imagine this year's DE would be worse, but still not as bad as 2008  :kugoalposts:

Impressive.  And Tibs had the velvet rope ranked 114th in 08.  Cosh still could eclipse that mark yet depending on how much ineptitude we can muster over the course of the next two weeks.

Did I mention we were 60th ranked last season?

Dear Bill, please print the following, sign, and deliver to Chris Cosh.  Please...

ATTN:  Chris Cosh
From:  LHC Bill Snyder
Dearest Chris,

I will begin this letter by first apologizing for not having enough time lately to properly supervise and coach you on the finer points of fielding a successful division 1 defense.  My son recently brought it to my attention that we seem to be having some problems, both during practice and during games on Saturdays of having “players make plays.”  Though you know how deeply I feel about improving morale and teaching young people how to be successful in both playing football and preparing for life after school, perhaps I have not made it totally clear that my focus is primarily on young people in our football program.  Though I appreciate your dedicated and fairly routine attempts to get youngsters national recognition for having outstanding performances on the football field, I would be remise if I did not notify you that most of those players are playing for opposing teams.  Though I have too little space in this document to list all of those youngsters names (like Taylor Martinez, Rodney Stewart, Blaine Gabbert, Austen Arnoud, Brandon Weedon, Kendall Hunter, Robert Griffin III, Ronnie Weaver and Jeff Godfrey) I’m sure if you go back and actually review film from some prior games, you can probably generate a fairly long list.  Though I know you usually don’t review game footage, at this point I would recommend it so you can actually follow the point I’m trying to make.

(I would like to point out however, that you can feel free to be a more active participant in my Kansas Mentors Program.)

I just had John Currie in my office and we had a nice little chat about numbers and what they could possibly mean.  As you know, I do not read the interwebs or have need for things like calculators, but John seems fairly enamored with them and seems convinced that having a Defense rated in the 100s throughout the season is actually a bad thing.  Evidently, it’s supposed to be the other way around, with a lower number “better.”  I’m all for getting a little bit better every day and I was under the impression that, since your numbers kept getting higher each week, you were doing better, but alas, that is not the case.

Though I feel you’re like family… (like a distant cousin that somehow shows up on Thanksgiving, eats all the food, clogs up your toilet and then slips away into the night) my hand is forced and I’m going to have to ask you to resign from your position as Defensive coordinator.  We do need some extra help in the front office with things like shredding financial documents and the like so if you’d like to stay involved with K-State athletics, by all means feel free to do so.

I do hope you’ll stay around to watch your son get his chance at being an active participant on the practice field and be a good cheerleader as any father should.  To help with those endeavors, please find the enclosed Powercat™ visors for you and your family.  We look forward to seeing you (in the stands) in the future.
Thanks,
LHC Bill Snyder

Scoring defenses are #52 and #64.  But they do play in the high flying Big 10...

Ill Scoring Defense last year ('09) - 96
KSU Scoring Defense Last year ('09)- 46

....KSU was 110th in scoring defense in '08.  you tell me the difference?

You grew finally ball hair in '09?  I don't know, what was the question?

He should have never compromised the progam in the first place.

And no, I gaurantee you this eff won't be gone on Monday.  I guarantee it.

We're right back to where we were with Prince and Tibesar. This is embarrassing. I'd do almost anything to have Leavitt next year.

ESPN announcer:

"I watched the gametape on K-State and the one thing I don't see is that attacking defense".
