TITLETOWN - A Decade Long Celebration Of The Greatest Achievement In College Athletics History => Kansas State Basketball is hard => Topic started by: Scary Smart on November 05, 2010, 12:01:16 PM

Dear faculty, staff and students:
This year our home basketball schedule includes a men's basketball game
with Virginia Tech at 3 p.m., Tuesday, November 16. This is a
wonderful opportunity to showcase our university and basketball program
since the game will be nationally telecast on ESPN as part of their
College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon.
Obviously, a Tuesday afternoon game poses some unique challenges for our
academic schedule, which will not change due to the basketball game.
Classes will be in session as usual for the entire day as will evening
classes. All classified and non-classified staff are expected to
maintain their normal working hours. Student-athletes, cheerleaders,
pep band members, student managers and others who may have activities
associated with the game are responsible for alerting professors in a
timely manner in advance of the absence and for coordinating make-up of
any work or tests missed during the absence.
Traffic on and around campus, particularly near Bramlage Coliseum, will
be heightened as fans arrive for the game. We have been informed by
Athletics that normal basketball parking procedures will be in place for
lots at the Sports Complex. Basketball parking will open at 1:30
p.m., 90 minutes prior to tipoff.
All faculty, staff and students are asked to be aware and allow extra
time and caution as they move about campus that afternoon and early
evening. Safety for all fans is important.
We are looking forward to a great basketball game – Go Cats!

April sounds like a real bitch/fun hater.
-
Biscuits and Gravy would never do that.

Warm up the filthy emails!
-
Shocking that none of the good conferences wanted us during conference armageddon :jerk:
-
I know the students will skip class, but will the old people skip work :ohno:

So, what, you expected her to cancel classes?
What a dumb rough ridin' whore.
-
Really . . . they can't simply cancel classes for a certain segment of the day, how hard is that??
Class Sessions between 2-5 are cancelled . . . boy, that was tough.
-
So, what, you expected her to cancel classes?
What a dumb effing whore.
Not so much cancel, but promote extreme leniency. Like if you do not attend because you are booing some hicks back to blacksburg, you won't have missed a quiz.
-
WE HAVE THE #3 TEAM IN THE COUNTRY! Does she understand what that means? :ck:

Probably not a good precedent for her to set.
Just get your crap done early and skip class, like I'm doing. Problem solved.

-
I know the students will skip class, but will the old people skip work :ohno:
I've given this a lot of thought...
I'll probably put the headphones on and watch ESPN 3.

-
$100 FitzBucks that Lloyd Lechter gives a quiz during this time.
It's like FitzBucks in the bank.

I don't think so? Then again, I only have grad classes two days a week.

I am amazed the Provost even had to clarify the situation.

Biscuits and Gravy would never do that.
I bet Tron and Ashy Larry both would.
-
weefs would have cancelled classes.
-
Pretty easy to spot the tshirt fans in this thread.
-
Some people don't understand what college is about. April is one of those people. She sucks.

I've had one or two professors who would probably take that opportunity to give a quiz.
