I know this board brings a lot of joy into peoples lives, seemingly for free, but I think you should know the sacrifices (financial) that haven been made

Here is the breakdown of costs since January 2010:

T-1 (internet circuit) - $14,000.00
Servers: $3600.00
Support Software: $1400.00
Time spent developing website functions/etc: $5355.00
Legal Costs associated with website:  $1100.00
Promotional Expenses:  $450.00

I am not counting the maintenance time as I don't normally charge for that.  It comes with the service of hosting websites.

Grand total:  $25,905.00

Just some food for thought.....

fwiw. i'm collecting money to try and keep this place going. i'll set up a paypal account and let everyone know where they can donate at. servers and routers, etc.

Damn. Then add up Steve Daves issues.  What with all the weeks at Betty Ford and out of court settlements to the victims families...sheesh.
