Who knows, but seriously, please don't underestimate the urgency of this issue. If you don't want mosquitos in KS then you had better start getting involved.

Try organizing an eco-edu hike to bat caves in your area. You can start by putting flyers out around town and then get educated about how to lead tours through various bat benefit Web sites. I can certainly point you towards some if you're interested in trying to help out the planet.

I love bats because they eat so many mosquitos. I hate mosquitoes.

The falling down barn by my brother's house has eleventy billion bats living in it.  No sign of whatever this thing is there.  Population just as healthy and smelly as ever.

I say we just go back to the old days and start drenching everything in DEET.  Screw bats.
