Emporia is not that far away.... :dunno:
-
I hear Coffeyville Community College could give them a run for their money!!
-
We may have to go all the way to the high school level to find a team that won't beat them by 30+ points.
-

Is this where Chris Carter's son is now or is that Cowley? Cause I bet he would destroy their secondary....
-
I'd say NDSU, but KU would have to win one every once in awhile.

Yeah, but they only lost by a field goal last time, really close game.

This is ku we are talking about remember.

This thread is phucking Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!). KU has had the same rival for decades- JCCC. Pretty sure KU is at least .500 all time in that series.

Wichita State?
:dunno:

Whatever happens to be distracting the Johnson County soccer mom crowd during a particular season.

Did Missouri fall off the face of the Earth or something?
*loving all these KU threads, by the way

KU did become only the 2nd school in history to win a national title and BCS bowl in the same season during Lew's tenure as AD.
:dunno:
-
And uk was bounced in the 2nd round and hasn't won a conference game in forever, this year. Guess that monster had a short shelf life?

Six straight conference titles and a sweep of K-State, after being ranked #1 all season long. When you're always a high seed in the tournament, you have more opportunities for early upsets. K-State hasn't been to back-to-back NCAA tournaments since the 1980's.

What does that matter now in Football?? It doesn't matter at all . . . 10 straight conference losses and counting. Welcome to 2010. and ku football staring down yet another last place finish in the Big 12 North.

KU is still out-recruiting programs like Iowa State, K-State, and Colorado. It won't be long until Gill has his own recruits and his own system in place. We'll see how it all shakes out soon enough.

Once again Ben, we are ahead of you in the recruiting rankings. Sorry. :frown:
-
Actually, Ben, KSU is 5 spots ahead of KU in today's top-50. Which is funny because KU has 4 more commitments. But I'm sure the recruiting will really pick up as the conference losses pile up.
-
I don't put much stock in juco recruiting rankings. KU's class is deeper and more solid overall. K-State's class is inflated by juco's, as usual.

AWESOME THREAD BROSEPHES.
-
So- you know more about the rankings of juco recruits than the actual dudes who cover it for a living? JFC you are some sorta major league douche. And Rivals dropped their juco recruiting levels a while back, they don't hand out stars like they once did. How many 5 star juco kids are there in the entire country? Zero, and there was only one last year. (Cam Newton). Hell, Tuggle is the #1 dual threat qb and he's only a 3 star. But they totally overrate the juco kids, huh Douche? Just cause Jouqes Cousteu sucked so bad doesn't mean the other juco kids suck too.
-
Another KU streak: 3 straight conference losses by 5 touchdowns or more (maybe a conference record?)
-
Gotta be a record. Why do they even bother playing in the Big 12?
-
There was a point in time when K-State was the first D-1 program to reach 500 losses, and was widely considered the worst program in D-1. It's a good thing all you bandwagoners didn't give up back then, huh?
-
I hear Lawrence Free State may be on their par. :dunno:
-
It's good even in the worst of times, optimistic people can find things to be proud of. Good for you Beems.
Somehow I feel like I'm pinning a medal at the special olympics but no matter, it feels good to provide positive feedback.

Kinda sad that the first team to lose 500 games is now light years ahead of your school

Yeah, because it's not like things can change within a year or two in the landscape of college football. Wasn't it just two years ago that KU beat K-State, 52-21?

I was in the 6th grade in 1989. Hard to give up on your team when you're just a youngster.

Yes...Mangino vs. Prince
and ...Snyder vs. Gill
This isn't hard.

You just strengthened my point. College football is a volatile business. Coaching changes can have a huge impact within only a year or two.

or in your fanbases case, 4-6 years
-
What KU coach has ever had a huge positive impact in only a year or two? And what part of Gill's tenure (at this point) makes you think KU will suddenly be good at football? The loss to a FCS team? The three consecutive ass beatings at the hands of mediocre teams? The rediculous restrictions on your player's personal lives? The fact that Gill's team is so bad, even though the talent level is likely as good as it will ever be at KU? The complete indifference of the fans? What is it, exactly, that makes you think Gill will ever field a team that is anything more than a middle of the road Big 12 team? RIP KU Football.
-
Isn't Gill getting hanged in December? Very volatile business, especially at UKans

It only took Mangino three years to beat Snyder. It only took him four years to force Snyder into retirement.

Yeah, when Snyder beat KU in 2005, making him 13-4 all time against the Jayhawks........he said to himself...."time to hang it up". lmao
Beem's ...your the BITB...and its not even close. Cheers man. 59-7 lol

Dudes, uks rival? Easy. Haskell Injun College... it's right there in Larrytown and it's chock-full of them-thar Injuns. IMHO, with the recent decommit of that 4* uk RB, ukfan is going to be waiting a long long time until they are even .500, sad.
-
If Cornellius Carradine were a high school Senior he'd be a 5 star. Further throwing a huge blanket on Ben's Tardville talking point about inflated rankings for Juco players.
Here's Carradine's known offer list:
K-State
Alabama
Arkansas
Florida State
Ohio State
Tennessee
Texas Tech
South Florida
8 BCS school offers, and several other schools like Georgia are sniffing around hard as well, in the next couple of weeks he likely have at least 10 BCS school offers.

With UK's despicable, disgusting treatment of African Americans even within their own ranks, i worry about the level of class and compassion UK fans will exercise in their interactions with their Haskell rivals.

I think he's just embarrassed to wear that jersey. Who could blame him? On the plus side, there's no names on the back so the general public don't exactly know who is the whiny cry baby bitch.

yep. one fluke victory in 2004 forced out OBz. that's exactly what happened.

20 - 4 , when he's finally had enough of this crap..............give OB's credit, he knows what his fan base really likes

Back to the point before Beems hijacked the thread.
Harvard and Yale. With a future BCS conference bid now a hollow dream, the cac on the Kaw should join the Ivy League so that it can man up every year against the schools from which it stole the crimson and blue (I know, thoroughly hilarious and pathetic but somehow a perfect illustration of school and its fan's delusions).

We all know that ku can carry that water, using crimson and blue and all. And being "Harvard of the Plains". And being "not really in Kansas".

I actually wish ku wasn't so horrid. Would be nice to have a in-state rival that wasn't embarssing.
