Title: Tre Walker looked good in mop up duty.
Post by: nicname on October 15, 2010, 03:10:40 PM
Looked a little undersized to compete with the #1's of the better schools in conference, but was pretty active thursday night.

He needs to add 30-40 Ibs, but he will be a good one for us down the road. Him and Arthur at linebacker is a move in the right direction.

Agreed. Plus we have 2 or 3 decent freshmen LBs that will hopefully help us next year and following. I don't mind if my glass happens to be half full at the moment.  :drink:

Hate to say it (and I'm certainly not comparing the players) but our own announcers used to make fun of Buhl because he was so skinny.  Walker should be good for us down the road, Slaughter too.  Childs looked very active yesterday.  Seems like Brown, Walker, Childs, and Slaughter could be a decent LB corps for us.  Of course Hrebec will be back but I really hope someone is able to takeover his spot next year.  Also- we have that  Burns kid (safety) that transferred from SJSU- he put up some very impressive numbers there.  If we can get some productive DTs, our D might be decent next year.

This should help whomever is DC next year.
