and the glaring weaknesses that have only been amplified by the WRSOAT.
QB-If we sign both Sams and Tuggle it appears that things are slightly leaning towards the positive. Throw in Cosh . . . of course that could change if OB is forced to the right thing.
LB-Well, so far we have no commits this year from this extremely weak spot. Last Year we recruited 1 . . . yes 1 listed LB. Forgot about Brown . . . so modify it to a half a
So far it appears that the only LB's we really have a shot at are:
Brian Heeney out of Hutch, which supposedly we are talking grayshirt. Princeton Jackson out of Blinn who only has 1 D1AA offer so far, but supposedly has a bunch of other BCS schools sniffing around. Brandon Mickens . . . who is likely a sign and place. Dextrell Simmons out of Blinn. Then a bunch of no ranks/no stars. I would say a complete  could be avoided if we get the 2 guys out of Blinn . . . and it could really be avoided if somehow, some way the Mickens kid improves his grades. But if that happens they'll be tons of other high D1 schools all over him IMO.

We have 3 wide receivers committed so far and zero linebackers. WTF?
-
All the defensive talent in the world won't be enough with Cosh as our DC. I wish things were different. I'm much more positive than most on this board but I don't see Bill changing his stripes and removing Cosh. VK was the bright spot of this staff when we went back to Bill...nothing left to say. I'm very bummed.

I think the next couple of years look bright. Tuggle will be at QB and he'll have talented receivers to throw to in Harper, Smith, Thompson, and Kennard. We'll have the former #1 recruit at RB but our O-line might be a little suspect. Our defense is a different story. Aside from Brown and Harold, there is not much talent at all. Slaughter has been somewhat impressive thus far so I hope he will continue to improve. If Adam Davis and Meshak Williams live up to their hype, then our DE's will be some of the best in the Big 12. However, we are undersized at DT and our safeties have been underperforming. Kibble and Guidry are awful and it looks like Javonta Boyd won't be as good as we thought. Hartman looks like another Marcus Watts or Jesse Tetuan.

Watts>>>> not sure about JT or Harman
I've been fairly impressed with our corners so far. Linebackers need to be bolstered in these next few classes or we will get nowhere. I wonder how much good linebackers would make our lines look better. I don't think our defensive line is as bad as people think. I think the LBs are a bigger issue which is bleeding over to the line.

Bill could always just hire somebody to be a "co-defensive coordinator" like he did last year.

He could also just "quit" like he did in 2005.

Serious question: Has Bill every fired anyone?

no.
-
Bill would probably step down before he would fire someone. You don't fire "family".

probably? that's exactly what happened in 2005
-
Gonna need Bill to go ahead and fire Cosh after the season otherwise we can just basically assume he has no intentions of being good again.
-
If things continue as they are going. If OB isn't forced to fire Cosh and probably several others, than he needs to be forced to retire.
A good thing is, maybe anyway, is that both Currie and Schulz inherited OB. Based on what I know, there's no way IMO UPKS and ADJC are going to allow the football program to stay in malaise, their facilities plans are too ambitious and require donations and people buying suites and club seats. This is going to be fascinating to watch unfold.

At backer you also have Slaughter, Childs, and Tre Walker as underclassmen who all have potential.
Arthur steps in as a starter.
Walker is said to be a hell of a playmaker but needs to develop physically in the offseason.
The third spot is then open competition between Slaughter, Childs, and unamed JUCO recruit/recruits

Don't forget Tate. Heard he made Braden Wilson cry in practice once.

I have this hope Beisel will come to grips with his NFL career being over and come back as an assistant with an attack philosophy. After Thursday, I'm willing to pay Tonya Harding to knee cap him.

You are going to be very disappointed after this season. And no, he has the intention to be could again, he just has no idea how to do it in todayland.

Is Hrbec leaving early for the NFL?

Don't care, as long as he's gone. Or atleast buried on the depth chart.
