Top 10 Nebraska teams used to kick our asses back then too.
1991 to 1998
KSU 0-7 vs NU
Average score 40-20 NU.
NU won three NC's during that stretch.
We was robbed in '91.
You can take '98 off your list.
other than that I get your point. Our '92-'97 teams were taken care of without much trouble.
The '96 game in Manhattan was good for a half and then NU shut down our average offense.
@ NU in '97 was against Frost and company. They went undefeated that year. Bishop's first year, Didn't expect to win at all.
Alot of KSU fans, DEEP DEEP DOWN in their powerhearts....really thought we had a chance at the upset Thursday night...Doesn't compare to the mid-90's of NU's no scholly cap romp.

Well....
The Big 12 is down this year. Nebraska honestly should win every game in the Big 12 this year. If they lose to someone before they play Oklahoma in the Championship game than I will be shocked.
So, it's a Nebraska team that should get to the National Championship. Although it would get killed by Alabama.
But who wouldn't this year.

Nebraska knows it's going to have to RUTS this year because the Big 12 is down. They're not going to get in ahead of Alabama and Oregon, although Boise and TCU might lose out to them.

After 17-3 last yr and what seemed like NU losing more impact players it seemed reasonable to expect a 4th qtr game.
Clearly Martinez was such an upgrade at QB and CCQ a downgrade we ended with what happened Thurs night

This thread makes me feel really good.

K-State also gave Corn all the wanted in 1991, 1993 and K-State choked in 1994. In 1997 Snyder folded up his tent and just played to get out of there, when we had the athletes and QB to actually say "eff it" and go for broke, but he refused.
