Title: We suck again
Post by: Poonhound69 on October 07, 2010, 10:14:11 PM
Whatever, nothing new really that shocking.  Subject against the run/zone read, limited on offense.   The only thing really poor is how it got out of hand and our unwillingness to embrace possible change. Just IMO.

OB loses to yet another top 10 team. Meltdown time.  :runaway:

This is the easiest team to figure out in the whole country:

Deep threat

QB speed

fast athletic defense

great running back

I feel sorry for Daniel Thomas

at least we didn't lose by 7 touchdowns to Baylor

As painful as that loss was, no other north team will be able to shut down Thomas like that.  UT on the other hand, that could be an ugly game.

We have a variety of holes, but the crazy thing is in this college football climate we'll probably still win 7-8 games.

I was disappointed in the complete confirmation of how slow we are on D, and how we couldn't plan or execute to have someone in the secondary available to make a tackle.

Really, the game could have been much different if we could have executed on the 1st drive of the game, and then not shot ourselves in the foot with 2 penalties later on when we were on schedule on a drive and not down by much. Also, Nub will eventually get in a game where they lose several fumbles and it will make our loss look even worse. Haverhill will love it.

name the 3 games we'll win.  UNT and......we're not winning a road conference game.  we play 5 of the next 7 on the road.

Probably should have settled for three at the beginning, but really three points wouldn't have made any difference with our inability to stop their big plays.  We're limited on both sides of the ball, that's not groundbreaking but it is a little heartbreaking.

We'll win next week. Maybe at CU. And well manage to win one of the remaining home games. Very few other conference teams will cause us the same problems NU did. We are far from a really good football team, but also not as bad as we looked tonight.
