Post by: opcat on October 07, 2010, 07:51:02 PM
No running game.

No downfield passing.

blew our wad too soon. 33 plays already. Probably only had the first 30 planned. Now it's run, run, throw, punt.

We have the slowest/weakest defense in the world.

We're seeing the future of college football. Blacks are sooo 2000-2009. Wetbacks are much more elusive and can slip through defenses...  :opcat:  I want one! Any Garcia's or Juarez's on our scouting lists?

We had Taylor Martinez last year and we let him graduate without ever playing a down. Miss you Denis.

We would be a lot better off if we hadn't gone for it on 4th down on the first drive. Kick the field goal and get the points. If you are going to go for it, why the eff would you have Coffman run the ball? Horrible play calling so far.

Our defense is awful. Snyder had more than a week to come up with something to atleast slow down Martinez, and so far his gameplan has been pathetic.

Hasn't seemed too bad so far.  My expectations were  :goodbyecruelworld: and the reality so far has only been  :flush:.

I honestly don't think it's as much that as the fact that our players are just incredibly slow and for the most part not very skilled when it comes to playing football.

with the exception of the wetback, nebraska is very meh on both sides of the ball.  We're just a little more meh right now.  This is not the #7 team in the country, that's obvious.

Ya, this defense is now reminding me of the Ron Prince era. They're slow, untalented, and poorly coached.

I'd rather pretend that they are really good and that we're "hanging tough" with a top 5 team.

The only shot we have going forward is to stand martinez up in a pile and break his leg.  With hrebec, hartman and crew that doesn't seem very likely.

Is 17-3 considered "hanging tough"?  Not sure.  I think we're "hanging tough".

The key to Martinez's running game is T. Hartman.  Dude has been diving into the mix and taking himself out of coverage, leaving the back door wide open.  I'd swear he thinks he is a linebacker.  The first general order of a safety is to keep the play in front of you.  Massive, epic fail.  :goodbyecruelworld:

If Arpaio was in the kstateo constituency we would've blown his knees off with a Howitzer right in front of the bench on a long run

the braden wilson lovers can pretty much eat a dick.  he's getting f'ing destroyed on every play.  also, just watch the LB's and try not to cry.  the DL is actually not doing too bad.

How did you guys make them do so many turnovers?  I think we should try it.

They're doing a fantastic job of absorbing blocks.

I'm pissed. Not that we are losing, I know we aren't even an average football team. I'm just pissed that "Mr. Greatest Turnaround in College Football History" and his band of retards decide to play like absolute crap when K-State is the only game on TV for the night.

They didn't overlook you enough. You guys were screaming "national title" on this board and Bo Pelini obviously saw it. Meanwhile, CycloneFanatic before the ISU/NU game had threads like "Will Nebraska win by 20 or 30 points?" As goEMAW.com prepares against KU, you guys need to start threads titled, "How will we lose to KU" and "How can we stop KU... God is on their side" or "Webb is just too good for our defense." Turner Gill will get ultra confident and not bother to show up. This is the only way you will win next week.

Pelini, that classless motherfracker, trots out his 1st team D when we're on the 3.

Did an ISU fan just tell us how to win a football game? That's pretty ironic.

Agreed. Martinez isn't going to kill anyone with his arm (except us) and if there is a team that has speed and talent on the D - they can prolly beat the nubb. He's a talented dude for sure, but how many times did he run THROUGH a group of our slow-ass defenders when if they were even slightly athletic, they could have stopped him? good lord
