This is the classic K-State trap. Make our fanbase think something amazing is going to happen, such as beating Nebraska, going to the Final 4, a NC in '98, etc. They get our hopes as high as they can go, and then let us down in big way. Most fans can't take it. While some take the extreme approach ( :goodbyecruelworld:), others jump on the UK bandwagon because it's much safer over there. Once we all expect to win, that's when we lose. I beg you, don't do this to yourself. Expect a loss.

Considering our team this year, yes it would.

Our team this year has already beaten 3 teams that will probably make bowl games. Nebraska has beaten 3 teams that will probably not finish better than .300, as well as a crappy Idaho team. It's quite possible that they really are a top 10 team. It's also just as possible that they are very overrated just like they tend to be every year.

He's comparing beating Nebraska to going to the Final 4 or playing for a national championship. This isn't 1995.

I'm not getting my hopes up.  Of course, I'm not an idiot and understand that "We Are K-State".

I expect we'll lose by about 10 but it will never really be "that close."  A win would be amazing.

WE ARE GOING TO WIN

The team is exuding a quiet confidence and LHC Bill Snyder is relaxed.

Makes me very  :crossfingers:, but also very  :ohno: at the same time.

But you have tipped the scales in the  :crossfingers: column.
