oh and SUCK IT my national stats posts haters . . . you know who you are!!
K-State Rush Defense Rank . . . 102 Big 12 Rank . . . LAST
Our Linebackers aka the foot divers aka the Velcro Twins . . . will be the primary reason we won't win Thursday . . . with Queso Cheese being 1a.
-
so... you are saying that the weak spots of the team will be the reason for a loss. interesting stuff here. i'll go share w/ my co-workers and report back.

Post Game CFU . . . Old Balls sounded less than happy with Chris Cosh's version of the bend defense.
You do that Daris . . . you walk the 8 flights of stairs up from the Janitorial Engineer Containment Area and walk amongst the living and the important people and share this news.
-
Carson Coffman runs the 4th most efficient offense in the Big XII.
-
Important to know. Thanks, sonofdaxjones.
-
Cosh and Snyder have been running a very vanilla D through the first four games. Expect them to open up the D Playbook this week and domination to ensue.
-
I will keep posting stats now:
Cornhole Rush Offense . . . #4 in the Country . . . #1 in the Big 12.
Outstanding . . . the first, "they've been very vanilla" post.
-
I like Dax's nicknames for everyone/everything

These Stats are bad because of our SOS:
Rushing Offense:
9 UCLA 233 1312 5.6 73 13 262.4
10 Nebraska 176 1237 7.0 80 16 309.3
50 Iowa State 187 755 4.0 65 6 151.0
55 UCF 172 736 4.3 31 8 184.0
Semi Serious. :nono:

Can you list the rush defense rankings for Nebraska opps? TIA
Listen bub, we all know Nebraska is a good team, but you are using the same logic as tardville when it comes to ooc stats (especially with as weak a SOS as NU has).

it's a deal then. i don't have another fifteen minute break for a while though. as soon as i do, i'll grab my timecard and clock out and then get a consensus and report back.
just so we're on the same page though, it's your opinion that a)kstate will lose to a nebraska team that is favored by double digits and b)it will be because of our less than steller linebacking crew giving up a lot of rushing yards to a very good rushing team or because of our less than stellar quarterback not performing great against a very good defensive team or some kind of combination of the both of these things. am i understanding this correctly? it's all very confusing high level stuff here.
-
Hey, guys, remember when Thomas Clayton led the nation in rushing yardage leading into conference play?

Oh no, no, no . . . you should be gone already. You should be on the 5th flight up, thinking about this, and about how you're going to take that huge dump on Sharon from Accounting's desk because she thinks you're a huge loser and won't go out with you and she always questions your cleaning supply orders.
Or you can stay and offer up some discussion aka your usual near JT level of powertardness.

crazy daris predicto- i think that the weather outside (kansas) is going to start getting colder (on avg) over the next month or two. suck it to all my haters out there. you know who you are.
-
Guys, let's make a list of things to say to Dax about his "statistics", I'll start:
1. That's why they play the games.
2. Anything can happen

Chin I never said Cornhole's opponents were good . . . in fact their rush defenses are bad.
Western KY is 107, Idaho is 65th, Washington is 113, and SDSU is 111th in D1AA.
So given the Mitch Holthus school of schedule, common opponents and stat extrapolation . . . our Defense will look like Alabama on Thursday. :excited:

You just don't get it Dick Raris, dax is bringing to our attention the heretofore unknown fact that our LBers are not very good and CC4Q is not a great QB, which will probably lead to an upset win for the Huskers.
-
nebraska will wear red. kstate will have on purple. nebraska will probably win.
Can I get some stats on how often these three things have happened in the past 5 years? More or less than "100%"? Chingon? Ballpark?

It's running on the Core-i7s as we speak.

I could understand your point if I was trying to do some sort of pretend coach X's and O's BS Daris . . . but that being said, really am surprised you're already back in this thread given how you're out spreading the news and the girls in Finance all just rolled their eyes when you walked by in your coveralls.

What I don't get is why Nebraska is favored by double digits? What have we been overlooking 'cat fans?

This thread is full of terrific things, posted by fantastic people. :lynchmob:

Don't worry guys. K-State is better than Nebraska. Just look at this:

I picture you chanting this in a group of other people dressed in white pajamas.
I love the "open up the playbook" talking point. Even though your post only refers to D, it's awesome how Tards believe there's a magical Chapter 2 of the playbook that will allow our offense to flow like wine. Like we wouldn't have opened up the playbook just a little when UCLA took the lead, or we sure as hell wouldn't have opened up the playbook against UCF after racking up a whopping 43 yards of offense at halftime.

Chapter 2 is the blitz package where Hrebec slams into the Tackle instead of the Guard and looks like he just hit a brick wall . . .

'dax, watching this game at buffalo wild wings? Drink of choice?

I thought we did "open up the playbook" against UCF. We ran some pretty creative plays near the end of the game.

BTW, you can determine the exact local time TO THE SECOND we ran the misdirection pass to McDonald, because it immediately triggered a dozen "guess we're not saving that for Nebraska" posts on every BBS.

I'm pretty sure poonhound69 was being sarcastic. I think, i dunno.
-
Why not just run a bunch of really elite plays that gain big yards so other teams have to prepare for them all. Then on like Wednesday before the game, their coaches realize there's no way they can prepare for everything they've seen and they just :goodbyecruelworld:

'dax, watching this game at buffalo wild wings? Drink of choice?
If I get back from my meetings in time likely . . . if not, I'll have to catch in a bar in Raleigh. Lately I am liking the SA Octoberfest, the first SA beer I have ever liked. If I have to stay in Raleigh . . . then I'm not sure, the place I will likely watch it has a large selection of beers both bottled and on tap. Just don't ask for a draw, they don't know what that is . . .

If you get a chance, try the Sierra Nevada "Tumbler". Franziskaner Hefe Weisse also very good.

Guys, I heard "HCBS" was very relaxed during his press conference. This probably means he knows something that Nebraska does not know. Probably how to win this ball game.
-
What I don't get is why Nebraska is favored by double digits? What have we been overlooking 'cat fans?
They are past national champs, ranked in the top 10, and have the best FR QB. We have none of that, pretty simple. Given that info, the spread should be 20+.
So, they must be overrated for it to be as close as it is. I did see one computer ranking where N was ranked #22ish, I think that is more realistic given who they have played and the scores of those games.

even Stanbot admitted to BITB that the play book has been wide open on defense and offense since day 1.

will s. lamur see the field?? :runaway:

S. Lamur, Thomas, Powell, Hubert, Harper, Smith and Thompson will all be in the backfield together. Coach is leaving no offensive playbook stone unturned for this game, he loves beating UN more than anyone else.

There is nothing red in Vanier. NOTHING. Except for a bottle of catsup that John Currie likes to put on his cold dish of revenge.

update alert***
just got back from trying to explain dax's in depth new take on the game. don't think i did a very good job though. we're all more confused now than we were before the day even started. dax- can you explain your "take" to me again.

Pretty sure Dax is the product of a botched abortion. Doodz that have seen him in person- does he have any wire hanger shaped dents on his head?

So true, yet so embarrassing. Which leads to the surprise sack Slaughter had in the 4Q against UCF off of a blitz from the edge -- the book must have fallen open to the Index page for that one.
It gets worse in the 4Q when AH just dances with the guard, soon to be tackle come Thursday night.
