_Fan, great stuff.  when's the defensive focus coming out.

also what is your _Fanalysis on Carsy's terrible first half.  bad protection, bad reads, bad throws, all of the above? is Carsy a little small to make reads out of a collapsing pocket?

Would love specific analysis on Mayfield's performance during UCF because the plays I paid attention to the OL in the first half, dude got owned.

Would like to know if I was right in that observation.

Yeah, I suck at paying attention to non-ball-carrying positions but I also recall thinking our OL prolly sucked because the guy I was watching was always getting swarmed by bad guys.

Yes, there always seemed to be two Oline men available to help Thomas up after he was lit up by 3 UCF guys

The problem was that our linemen had to double team the defensive end. Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal, but when the defense stacks the box, there aren't enough linemen left to release to block the linebackers. It's simply a numbers game and unless we are playing a team that we completely outclass up front, expect to continue to see this problem in the future unless Carson Coffman can consistently go over the top on the defense.

So our OT sucks.

Again, I suck at paying attenion, but it didn't seem to me that they were "stacking the box".  Seemed more like they were "kicking the crap out of our OL".  :dunno:

They had to account for the 3 wide receiver sets, but they were still selling out on the run. There is a reason Thompson and Quarles were so wide open on the big play action plays.

We will not be able to run consistently on any defense that plays like this if the game plan is to double team a defensive lineman.
