Post by: Cartierfor3 on September 24, 2010, 10:12:56 AM
Anyone know how the home/away games will work for conference games next year?

Any info?

I doubt we'll know for a while.  Now that it appears we will be a 10 team league, they should be getting started on that though.

Actually, I think they were voting on different schedules including both 10 and 11 teams. I think we'll hear something over the next few weeks.

they voted for both because the Colorado issue hadn't been dealt with yet.  now it has.

Yeah, but they've still already taken the votes, so they shouldn't have to do it again. Like I said, we should hear something sooner rather than later.

It means that I have no idea when we will hear anything, but I'll be disappointed if we don't have a conference schedule by November.

We're playing Miami, Texas, and OU next year.  JFC  :flush:

Either he's speaking in code, or we've unearthed 0506's sock.

I'd be willing to take Texas coming to Manhattan 2 years in a row, I'd even be willing to go to Baylor two years in a row to make up for it.  That's just the kind of guy I am.

I'm going to say that it's a 99% chance that we play @Miami, @UT, and @OU next year.   :flush:

Why do you think @ OU?

I'm betting the schedule looks like this:

some D1AA team
some Sunbelt team
@Miami
@aTm
OU
KU
@Texas
@ISU
Mizzou
@OSU
Baylor
Texas Tech
No bowl game

Why do you think @ OU?

Because we are K-State.   :dunno:

I think I might prefer @ou & @ut in the same year because you would then get the flip side of both at home. IF we did build a program that could compete, you could then schedule and recruit accordingly.

As long as KU still gets a bye week before they play us, I'm okay with almost anything.

We should play Florida A&M and invite the band.

I think one of the non-cons is ULaLa

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say nine conference games(not 10 or 11).

pretty sturdy limb when there will only be 10 teams in the conference.
