waiting on next flight.
HUB airports are so vastly superior when it comes to watching people, particularly some of the women walking through. (Oh crap, that was almost Aggieville Creepster like).

At least you've got until 2:30 to think of a comeback.

I don't know if I would go around bragging about your local bird nest being a US Air hub. You better hope United doesn't bail on CLT when the merger's complete.

This isn't my local, I fly into here, and then out . . . my little home airport is kind of elite. Really nice, and about 20 departures a day between Delta and U.S. Air.

Is there talk of CLT being dumped as a Hub?? I haven't paid that close attention.

I haven't paid much attention either. Just remember rumblings of a United/US Air merger back in the Spring. Usually all hubs are re-evaluated after a big merger. Would take years though.

Yeah, just refreshed my memory witha little search.
Talk is if they were to merge that CLT will likely be maintained, because U.S. Air dominates this place, and so if you're flying out of CLT it's one of the more profitable airports for U.S. Air. Very little competition. With Charlotte being the home of BoA, and the East Coast hdqtrs of Wells Fargo . . . I would be surprised to see much of a change IF a merger went through.

Do they still have the rocking chairs and piano?

no way US Air leaves CLT
-
fact- i hate clt more than any other airport ever. horrible, awful place. almost died flying out of there once. smoke in plane, had to turn around mid air and fly back to clt, fire trucks on the runway. not much better the second time i went. plus those stupid nascar themed restaurants. :flush:

what if they no longer exist? (us air, not CLT)
-
what is CLT no longer exists first? :surprised:
