Did the KU fans really just rush the field?

Can't wait for the phog's first "Gill to Michigan?" thread. Will be a real milestone.
Ben Wiseman Turner Gill: first KU football coach to beat a top 15 team at home since 1984. Rock chalk!
True freshman running back, James Sims (stud):
Anyone else notice that Daymond Patterson's TD was the leading highlight on Sportscenter last night? I've gotta admit, all the national publicity feels pretty good.
GTech received 15 votes in the AP poll this week. KSU received 10. And I did watch the game, and saw just how mediocre GTech is. I'm guessing you just watched the highlights...

F*ck off, hater.
BMW, going to the Chiefs game tomorrow night? :fatty:
I guess we'll have to wait and see, jtksu. I would't be so quick to invalidate a true freshman going off for 100+ yards against a top 15 in his first college football game, though. Did you even watch the game, by the way?
The attendance was over 46,000, and that's coming off a loss at home to an FCS team and an 8-game losing streak.

pffft, KSU had more against MO State.
If you went you would have seen the miles of empty seats. Ku star even remarked on all the empties.

No, but I will be attending Farmaggeddon (as long as Havs didn't die last night).
KU fans are the biggest bandwagoning douches around. Ben is a perfect example. Dood called the program DOA and yearned for the firing of RP jr, less than a week ago. Now, he's sitting shotgun on the wagon, hollaring "haterz!!" And all within earshot. Sad, sad, sad.
The attendance for the KU game was 46,907. K-State's was 48,672. Huge difference.
(no homo) But i am kinda curious who the top is in this relationship.BMW, going to the Chiefs game tomorrow night? :fatty:
No, but I will be attending Farmaggeddon (as long as Havs didn't die last night).
:surprised:
Before I say anything, quick question to the goEMAW constituency. There aren't any EMAWs that are going to random other teams' games with other teams' fans that they've met on the interwebs, are there?
Would attending the rrs w/crankylonghorn count?
Sims went off for 100+ yards and a TD in his first ever college football game, against a top 15 team. That's encouraging to say the least. Anyone who watched that game could see the talent that Sims possesses. Only a true hater would sit back and try to invalidate that performance.

Personally I was rooting for KU. Them winning helps our RPI. We will likely win 10-11 games this season and the BCS selection committee will take a hard look at RPI and SOS when seeding the BCS bowl games.
I still can't believe they rushed the field. How embarrassing.
What's wrong with rushing the field after beating a top 15 opponent and ending an 8-game losing streaK?I don't think retards think it's weird to eat with a cork on their fork either.

I can only dream of the day when KU makes one bowl appearance in six years.
I crunched some numbers and if BMW posts the "1 bowl in 6 years" thing another 932 times here, goEMAW.com will shut down and we'll all become ku fans. And then it'll all have been worth it.so following that logic we should all become ku fans around....mid november (assuming k-state wins in lawrence and he uses one bowl in six years as a talking point)
This is the BMW gloating thread you assholes. Go ahead BMW. Don't listen to these losers.

Let's be rational here, folks. Those trying to discount how big this victory was for KU by saying "well, GA Tech was overrated" need to take a closer look. This is nearly the identical team they took to the OB last year. Same freaking team.
I'm not laying claim to KU having a great team this year. They aren't one, as great teams don't lose to FCS foes. KU had a solid gameplan on defense, executed the plan, and didn't make any huge mistakes offensively. That recipe will win some games with a young and unproven team. Sound familier?

Basically the same team... except for losing:
- Jonathan Dwyer: ACC Offensive POY, 2800 rushing yds in 2008 & 2009
- Demaryious Thomas: 1154 Receiving yds, 8 TD, 1st WR selected in 2010 draft
- Derrick Morgan: ACC Defensive POY, 12.5 sacks
- Morgan Burnett: 14 career INT, 3rd Round pick
- Cord Howard: 1st Team ACC OL

11. Kansas (1-1): The enigmatic Jayhawks took a big step with the win against Georgia Tech, but I'm not sure anyone knows what to expect when they go on the road for the first time this week for a Friday nighter against Southern Miss on ESPN. I'd tell the Kansas fans who rushed the field after the game to act like they'd been there before, but most of them hadn't. Kansas' last win over a ranked team was in November 2008 against No. 13 Missouri, and that was on a neutral field. The last home win over a ranked opponent? Missouri in 2003, when the Tigers were ranked No. 23. Saturday was a big one. Storm away, Jayhawks fans.

i wish our fans would rush the field after every win. KU fans have the right idea: celebrate every win like it's your last.

Not gonna lie, would love to see something like that for KSU. Can you imagine seeing Snyds give an impassioned speech then lead his team in the "swagger sway?"

Talk about a recruiting advantage for KU.
BMW, You would really be smart to post a few times on here before the start of the season. Your "first post in months" gloating after the Hawks come to Manhattan and walk out with a "W" will ring pretty hollow if you don't speak up before the season starts. I think KSU will be the surprise of the Big 12 (vs. preseason # 6), but KU will be a close 2nd.
Think of the missed opportunities if you don't post something prior to the season.

I think another 0-9 or 1-8 season is in order for them. I'm looking forward to the four year W/L total to state 3-31 or something like that.
I hope they make more Gridiron videos or whatever they were called. :crossfingers:

Nope, I think they're gone.
I loved them, they were so good. Watching the one after the K-State game last year almost sent me into a panic at one point, because it was such a fantastic spin and so well done, I thought K-State had actually lost the game. It was kind of scary :ohno:
Really powerful. I hear Coach Hov-A-Round has squashed it though.
Are you guys really still bagging on CW? Could you imagine how excited we would have been if we had hired him instead of RP all those shitty years (except for last year) ago? The guy is a winner who happens to be fat. Big deal. We have a winner who happens to be old. It will be a great game this year and I am glad it is in Manhattan.
I think beemer is staying quiet because he has a feeling that they are going to be pretty good. I'd love to hear his take on it, but all of the CW butthurt is probably keeping him out of here.
He was a douche. Probably still is.Well, yeah. But it's still fun watching a carwreck, no matter how sad it is.
KU still can't play defense. An improved offense may get them a couple of conference wins but thats about it.

Don't underestimate Coach Campo. He's got a ring or two.
Did Beems run out of trust fund money for the interwebs? He posts plenty on the phog these days. He just can't control himself over here, so he stopped showing up. Not having self control must be a real bitch.
