Would be fun to watch, at the very least.
damn, cat football has absolutely taken me by hold...once again.
-
would be good to have an all-black backfield, but DT doesn't have the greatest arm
-
Harper at QB, Bryce and Daniel in the backfield. Georgia Tech runs something like that, right?
Wouldn't happen, though.

F3, in your expert opinion, does this mean that LHCBS brings the wishbone back to college football THIS season?

Ran the wishbone in junior high. Almost unstoppable if done correctly.

Should send DT to Manhattan Christian to learn this new position/offense in a week's time
-
If we're throwing <15 times per game anyway, why not?
-
Or maybe the veer? Hmmmm..............
-
If we're throwing <15 times per game anyway, why not?
Exactly. Harper/Quarles and Brod appear to be good blockers, there's our two WR spots. Good full back that can run? Check. Thomas, Powel, Hubert, Thompson...weapons at RB..check. Lamur, Thomas, Harper...weapons at QB...check. Good run blocking offensive line...check.
X's and O's types, what am I missing here?

Run or run block?
I honestly don't ever remember him getting the ball last year.

Braden did have a decent amount of catches last year. Not sure how many carries he had...

He had 4 catches. Why does everyone insist on overrating this Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!)?
-
Takes a ton of time to run option/veer football well. Would be nearly impossible to put in and run well at this point, plus Snyder would never do it.
-
Why do you insist on hating that guy? Dude was pretty damn good as a freshman and should only improve. Unless this dude is doing your ex or something, I can't imagine why you're so insistant on hating on his skills.

lol
-
The OL was pretty good last year as well, do you hate them? DT was really goddamn good, do you really hate that guy?
-
If we'd be willing to make Thomas QB, we should have already been willing to make Harper or Lamur QB.

Hey guys who love our adorable white running/fullback, how many carries/catches did he have in the UCLA game? Oh right, 0 carries for 0 yards. Wow, he's an awesome running back. OB must agree. :flush:

Hes a blocking fb, jfc.

The TD to Smith was a ridiculously well designed play.
The motion of Smith behind the LG a) sold the power run to the left and b) completely caused his man to lose him in traffic. His man then picked up the TE releasing into the endzone as Smith snuck through/behind our OL as Coffman booted to the right. Smith did a good job getting a piece of the contain guy as well, which gave Coffman just enough time to get the ball off and still allowed Smith to be wide open in the flat for the score. Plus we had the backside TE wide open in the back of the endzone even if UCLA had somehow been able to pick up Smith after his motion.
Just a beautifully designed play.
And yes, for what he's asked to do Wilson is a really good player.
-
Nice back-handed compliment. "For what he's asked to do." Jeesh.
-
Yeah, I don't think Bryce will be eligible this year, unfortunately.
Arthur, on the other hand.....

I really like Wilson, he's a great fullback. It's "what he's asked to do", ie. not carry the ball or catch passes, he plays well on special teams, etc. And he makes Daniel Thomas even better.
