Title: Carsy Coffman is an O-Lineman's nightmare . . .
Post by: sonofdaxjones on September 04, 2010, 10:27:06 PM
I really don't put much blame on the OL for Carsy "McSwivel Hips" Coffman getting sacked 5 times.   Defenses just pin their ears back and come after the guy because he's slow, can't make a read and they have no fear at all of being "picked apart" by Carsy Coffman.

This is what happens when you have a MIAA second stringer as your starting QB.

Each time he takes a sack I'm thankful it's not an interception.

I could not tell from the $hitty TV coverage.  But were the receivers that well covered or was he just afraid to throw the ball?

I like when a players says that the game has slowed down for them.  I do not like when, as a fan, our quarterback seems to be the only one slowing down.

He got sacked because he thought he could turn everything into a plsay  instaed of realixing that it was too laye and throwing it away.

The only time I noticed, everyone was covered.  I get the impression that if someone is wide open, he pulls the trigger.  If not, he has no ability to improvise.

I could live with him not being able to improvise. I could live with him not getting the ball off in 3 seconds in a five-wide set. It's the fact that he absolutely refuses to throw the damn ball away when he's under pressure that is maddening.

I don't exactly trust Coffman to throw the ball away, he would probably just throw it right to a safety instead

lol the coaching staff i'm sure said DO NOT THROW THE BALL.  Its pretty obvious Snyder believed we could win without much of anything at QB and he was right.  Won't be the case all season, so i'm hoping next week's game is an open audition to all our QB's.
