Robert Lipson (Kansas State) Like many people on this list, Robert Lipson has an impressive streak in his name: He's gone to 142 consecutive conference road games dating all the way back to 1973 -- his last year as a student at Kansas State.

But what makes Lipson really stand out is that instead of getting a motel room on the road, he sleeps in the back of his Nissan truck, which can get brutal in the heartland late in the season. Throwing extra pieces of carpet he has on top of him, Lipson once slept in his car in 17-below weather in Ames, Iowa, for an Iowa State game.

With Colorado bolting the Big 12, Lipson will make one final football road trip to his beloved Boulder on Nov. 20, where he will savor every teeth-chattering moment in the Rockies.

I did not know that he sleeps in the bed of his pickup.  Wow.

Does he ever fly to games?

Many schools have crazy people that are fans.  Many of those crazy people are obsessed with their school's sports and have been for a very, very long time.

But none of the people on that list are indigent beggars who sleep in their cars and publish their tailgating itinerary along with their special dietary needs on fan websites.  Robert is a super-special guy!

If that's true, shame on the Manhattan authorities for not doing a care & treatment on him anytime in the last few decades.

They probably haven't noticed him.  Keep a low profile and people will leave you alone.

Read an old story about WR and found this tidbit

His isn't the most prolific attendance record in college football: Giles Pellerin, for example, saw 797 consecutive USC Trojan games from 1926 until he died in the parking lot of a game in 1998 at age 91.

Sounds like a perfect way to cap off a great streak

Being an eccentric moron does not make one a danger to themselves.

In addition to being a danger to himself, he's a danger to me being able to tell non-EMAW that I'm a KSU fan without being asked "isn't that where that smelly homeless dude is from?".
