Fans will notice other improvements when they arrive to the stadium on September 4 as all new Cat Cushions have been installed for your comfort and a FanAssist text alert system will also be available. Thanks to FanDriveMedia, this new service will allow fans to request assistance from guest services, report an emergency or anonymously identify an unruly fan, all using a text message. More information will be announced soon, so check back to k-statesports.com for more details.

Odds on people abusing the crap out of that anonymous text thing?  100%

Personally, I am probably going to report 5-10 people a game.

If they implement this in OOD, their system's going to overload when the shirt tucks try to take back Section 17 via anonymous text.

We need to coordinate pre-emptive reporting of them.  Hit them with 10-20 reports before the first ball is tipped.  They won't be able to distinguish between real and fake...It's like the boy who cried racist.

I wonder if a possible basketball implementation would be in response to OB not knowing how to deal with the young hooligans who kept kicking his seat at that one game last year.  :dunno:

I'm pretty sure that if this were in place, I would have been kicked out for the string of profanities I yelled at Nick Stringer after a missed block last year during the KU game.

I never see missed blocks.  I'm always just staring at whoever has the ball.

My friends and I used to have the number to one of the phones on press row in Bramlage. Tons of fun.

Really?  Section 17 was working every connection it had last year to try to get the number to the white phone kellis sits near.  Nobody would give it up.

I heard there is a homeless beggar that roams the stadium with a big foam finger.  Will definitely report him the next time I see him again.

I'm going to report hundreds of our fans for smelling bad each game.  If you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem.

I could have used this during basketball season last year.  These two guys were yelling "Fire Currie" and "Pay Frank!"  It was very unruly.

crap, I'm glad doom chimed in here because I almost forgot.  doom, we pak'd saturday night and again grilled a ton of food.  I busted out some of your drafting desks so we could all eat in the living room while watching the texas basketball game from last year that I'd never seen on tv.  Did nobody notice back then that there was a dude in the stands close to the tunnel proudly wearing a Merriewether jersey?  I'm totally reporting that guy if he shows up again.

Do you know what would be a horrible misuse of that process?  It would be for a person at the game to twitter/bbs/facebook/email out the text number each game (assuming they even bother to change the number each game) and then unscrupulous types at other locales would bombard the system with their anonymous erroneous text messages.   :ohno:

They should make it like the campus forum and post the most hilarious texts on the big screen at the games

Can someone remove Carson Coffman from the game, he's being offensive

Maybe we could pick our own "fan of the game," and we could all report them.  Where does KstateBate sit?

Yeah, the divide between goEMAW/flag-wavers/section 17/etc. and gpc/shirt tuck/OB/etc. is going to widen severely w/this.

I don't know what this will mean for the PR Flag and the Katpak head.....let alone the duck call or the vuvuzuela.   :ohno:

How do you separate the bad smelling individuals from the thick smell of pig sh*t/horse manure in the air?

Wow.  You are really misinformed.

There has never been pig crap in or around the area.  And, rarely horses.  There have been a number of sheep and cattle, but the "sheep lot" is now closed and the cattle are being displaced by NBAF.

The only smell now is from all the porto-potties for the vast legions of construction crews....but you dudes know all about porto-potty smells http://goEMAW.com/forum/index.php?topic=5348.0
