Used Caddy
Peggy Po's:
1) hold value for re-sale
2) would be a nice drive
3) likely to find 1 owner old lady w/ low miles
4) enjoyable wtf factor
5) leather
6) roomy
Nancy Neg's:
1) most dealers will be ridic about coming down on price OR negotiating with grieving family members
2) gas mileage http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/sbs.htm (http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/sbs.htm)
3) apparently a death trap in a head-on collision
4) would probably become fanatical about cleanliness of my ride for a 3-4 month period of time after purchase
Mini
Peggy Po's
1) would be fun to drive
2) manual
3) gas milage (see above)
4) adorable, particularly when paired with my mini dacshund (would easily paint no fewer than 25 pics, might do an ical)
5) shockingly safe
Nancy Neg's
1) would not get anywhere near the amazing gas milage I would brag to other people about
2) 2003 mini coop (not s) had transmission probs, other models seem ok
3) tight space, less luxury
4) might get confused with those turds that get fake english license plates or are trying to be like "jeep people" with their approach to life
All in all my brain says Mini, my heart says Caddy.
What do?

Smart Car

a mini would be super gay.

yeah, this is not a consideration.

Smart Car
kind of thought about, but too many highway miles plus not many used out there. maybe next go round or something.

Not sure where you came up with the resale value on caddies. They plummet from the time they leave the lot. You can pick up a good one for under 5K. Really depends on how new of a one you want.
-
don't you live/work in manhattan? Gas shouldn't be that much of a consideration. Also, not going to get in a serious head on collision in hattan.
-
Experiencing both in your lifetime is the best case scenario. You'll have the rest of your life to get a Caddy. The Mini, on the other hand, you aren't going to want when you get older and comfort is a much, much bigger factor. For now, have fun zipping around in the Mini.

My point is that the caddys hit a pretty nice plateau on the re-sale market. Meanwhile my saturn is worth well less than a grand for trade.

My bad. Got one myself. It's almost ready to turn 19 years old and still going strong. Be prepared, though, to keep money on hand for repairs.

My Saturn is paid off and I service the crap out of it. Nothing bad has happened, but I am just about to hit 100000.

We have these at work: http://t3motion.com/t3_motion.html
Fun as crap to drive, I would imagine much more fun than a gay mini cooper.

If I wanted to look like a tool I would just get one of these:

Why are you contemplating buying a Mini Cooper then?
-
Important question: Is this going to be your only car, or does Mrs. KK have a different one?
Also, either of these cars will screw you in that divorce you were mentioning earlier. The wife will go for the caddy because of $$ and the Mini because its cute and junk. Just food for thought....

LOOK AT MY PEGGY PO'S!

separate cars, we aren't getting divorced.
-
my advice would be that you are married and you should stop caring about what car you drive. ride the saturn into the ground and spend the money that you would spend on a new car on fun stuff that you will enjoy. new cars are zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

I know, I was kidding. What does she drive? If she has a car that is reasonable for the out of town trips, I would roll in the Caddy. Then again, I would prob roll in the Caddy anyways

this is exactly the type of thing that someone would say if they were getting divorced. sorry to hear.
what are your feelings about bros hitting on bros ex's? no real reason. just curious.

I'm driving all over your lawn at MOAP.
-
I just remembered your drive to work, would be expensive as crap in a caddy. That sucks
-
Mr.KK- You're right on the verge of a big decision. It's clear that you're a douchebag, by your 2 choices of vehicles. That question is: What kind of DB do I want to be? The "hey I'm finally making OK money, so I bought a used Caddy!". Or "hey, look at me, I pretend to care about the environment so please pay attention to me!". Either way, you're a loser.

About the 'lac. Are we talking coupe deville, eldorado, cts, escalade or what? Is it my grandparents car, my 60 year old uncles car, or my crack dealers car. All great drive great cars, just make sure that if you buy the cad, invest in matching track suits, wife beaters, gold rope chains, and gel to slick your hair back. Some horrible smelling aftershave is also appropriate. Remember Mr. KK, when you buy a caddie, you are making a lifestyle choice also. If the divorce I'm hearing about goes final, consider moonlighting as a pimp for extra dough on the side. Recruit some hoes, make em to walk the track, gets that cash, pump that gas, and work that ass... :gocho:

big ass 60s caddy.

Either would be appropriate.

Dude, go with the Mini Cooper. And see if they'll throw in the Asian even if you have to roll her into a little more financing.

Get the clubman
-
mini cooper would be about 1000 times more fun to drive than a caddy.
-
despite the look, the mini has a lot more space/leg room than you'd think. I'm a fairly tall/long-legged guy, and when i sat in one I had plenty of stretching room.
-
same, the mini fit me. also went fast. be super lame and get the one with the union jack painted on the roof.
