TITLETOWN - A Decade Long Celebration Of The Greatest Achievement In College Athletics History => Kansas State Football => Topic started by: 1/64th on August 06, 2010, 12:18:40 PM
-
Any questions you want me to ask? Let me know by 2pm. TIA.
-
Who is the HCIW?
-
Absolutely. Please get to the bottom of the Bryan McGinnis situation and report back to the goEMAWd's - not GAG! We can either set you up to write your report on the goEMAW blog yourself or have one of our esteemed writers put in form with your input.
You will have be persistent. The entire Athletic Department is trying to keep this thing hush-hush.
-
Ask him what Sean does for work
-
Ask him what his first thought was when he para-sailed...
-
Ask him "how the squad is looking this year." and "We gonna get to a bowl this year?"
-
ask why he couldn't land Masoli
-
Tell him Stanley isn't getting into FSU and he needs to call him that very moment. Hand him your phone if needed.
-
Ask him if my season tix package in the near future will include Miami or the Southwestern Nazarene College of Mimes.
-
Ask him if he knows that Glen Stanley likely won't get into FSU....and if not, tell him to send Glen a "Western Union." http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/os-florida-state-football-news-20100805,0,5263687.story
Also, ask him what the key to quarterback recruiting is.
EDIT: oops, just saw that SD asked this already...maybe ask OB twice, though. Just to emphasize the importance.
-
Ask him why he failed LaMark, as a human being.
-
Ask him why he won't retire and leave us the hell alone
-
Please ask him to not insist that the next HC be hired from this staff.
-
Does the 2010 season look promising for KSU Equestrian?
-
Yeah, make sure you ask him about the quarterback position and why he sucks at recuiting it. Then ask him when we're going to be good at football again.
-
Tell him to give the youngsters my best.
-
Ask him if Dan Sams is really the MAN.
-
Ask him to get GP in manhappiness asap
-
1/64th? McGinnis report?
-
1/64th? McGinnis report?

-
Looks like D_Scott beat you to the punch, 1/64th!
And he's transcriping quotes!!!!!!! :surprised:
DScottFritchen Transcribing LHC Bill Snyder quotes at 4:30 a.m. Not gonna lie, he was pretty good in his news conference. Let's do this.

Can someone let me in on the McGinnis thing? All I hear about is UTaTmBaylorTech reports and they all suck.

I have a close friend who was in attendance at Big 12 Media Days. He had a sit-down with Snyder between sessions. He told me I was allowed to post this info but did not want me to reveal his name (everyone on here has read his work). And no, he's not affiliated with KSU.
He said that Snyder is extremely optimistic about the 2011 season - specifically Billy Cosh. He said that while Billy does not necessarily possess the physical attributes of a big time D-1 QB, Snyder said "he has all the intangibles needed to be highly successful." He said that Snyder compared him to a couple recent graduates of other Big 12 North schools. My friend concluded that those are Reesing and Daniel. He said that Cosh is always watching film, working on his mechanics, asks all the right questions, and has a leadership quality already both on and off the field that Snyder looks for. Snyder said the intangibles that Cosh possesses has him "very optimistic" about 2011 and beyond.
Just thought I'd share what little info I know.

That's good to hear. Billy looks like Daniel from the HS film of him I have seen plus he's three inches taller than Daniel. Oh and he doesn't have a beer gut like Daniel

I hope the kid can hold up physically, because it seems obvious he's got the heart for it.

based on him not among the 3 taking snaps on a regular basis, I would feel safe making that assumption.

In the 5 years I worked at the academic side of Vanier, Billy voluntarily studied the most of anyone I've seen. I can only imagine how that translates into the film room.

And unlike Daniel, Cosh is not found on youtube picking his nose and eating it.

He's 6'2" 200 coming into college (estimate) and he's a son of a coach. I think he'll beef up. But, that's amazing to hear not only for the fact LHCBS sees promise in our young guys BUT that Snyder, perhaps, wants to stay around to see some of these redshirt freshman grow up, mature, win lots of games, and graduate.

Somebody look into this and see how much box wine Cosh goes through. Not gonna believe the Reesing comparo until there is some serious box wine and at least one puppy involved.
-
I want a dual threat :(
-
hope sams doesn't read this. :flush:

how is cosh going to be a team leader when everyone on the team thinks he's a douchebag?
-
I can't know if I'm regular Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!), powertarded, or an amazing evaluator of talent, but I've been secretly (mostly) excited about Cosh since I saw his highlights.

INTANGIBLES
-
how is cosh going to be a team leader when everyone on the team thinks he's a douchebag?
recruit more douchebags?
-
LHCBS built this program on corn fed, hard working Kansans and white kids that might have lacked D-1 ability but had a lot of intangibles the first time around.
-
looks like we can all sleep well tonight. cosh apparently voluntarily studies a lot. we're back baby! :ksu:

And lots of NFL players.
-
So recruit more douchebags that are also NFL players.
Either that or try to turn the guys you already have. Mandatory frosted tips and sideways visors
-
Until I hear McGinnis say so, I don't see Cosh QBing this team now or in the future.
-
Next time, ask him if it's true that he has Matt Boss burried in his back yard.
-
Booger-eating apparently weighs heavily in evaluating talent according to some elements of our fan base.

Sorry that it's taken me so long to report back. Here are a few things I found out.
1. OB's office is pretty sweet.
2. OB is like a really nice grandpa (with a really nice office).
3. No sign of Werther's Originals were seen.
4. OB doesn't smell like an old man.
5. Sean "does a lot of important things around here that keep things moving."
6. OB is a very personable guy. You feel like you've known him for a long time.
7. The waters seemed smooth/calm.
8. No comments on potential recruits.
-
Good report

Thanks for the report, but it kinda sounds like you lost your nerve in there and didn't hit him with the tough questions that needed to be asked.

I was trying to warm OB up a little bit with the softball questions before I hit him with the hardballs (see what I did there). Anyway, then just as I'm getting him warmed up, another guy I was with starting blabbing about stupid boring stuff like retirement (his own, not OB's) and financial crap. By the time he finally shut up, OB was pretty much done and headed to another engagement. Give me 10 mins with OB one on one, and you'd have every answer to every question you could possibly want.
PS. By the looks of his office, OB's favorite color is brown.
-
when is your next sit down with LHCBS?

Sounds like he got silky-smoothed by OB

I was smitten, I must admit. I don't know when our next meeting will be. I'll be sure to let yall know though. Maybe next time I'll be more comfortable in my luxurious surroundings of the Vanier Sports Complex.
