Guess what dumbasses? CLASSIC!!! Great way to start. I find myself saying this myself sometimes. I had a good laugh at that one.
But basketball will never be the ticket. for the next 5 years if we didn't go to a bowl game in football and finished in the Elite 8 or better in basketball, I would still be more excited about the upcoming football season than basketball. Actually I will take it further. If this site dropped basketball as a sport that was covered I would still be a member. Don't get me wrong I still root for K-State but I don't enjoy watching the sport. I usually end up pissed off even when we win because 80% of it is officiating.
Football is #1 and it will always be that way. get used to it.

Guess what guys? We're never going to be 1998 good at football again. We're never going to be 2003 good at football again. In our best year we might go 9-3 and get to the Holiday bowl. That's it. It's over. It was really fun. I had season tickets from 1994 through 2007 and couldn't have asked for more, but it's time to move on. Basketball is the ticket now. We are a top 5 team in basketball and we have a realistic shot at being top 10 for years to come. We have no shot in football. I will cheer for the football team and I'll be happy when they win a game, but it will never be the same. This website needs to wake up. The lack of basketball coverage is an embarrassment. I know it's almost football season but there is plenty of basketball news to cover re: recruiting, transfers, schedule, etc. Get it done. We haven't been good in football for 7 years and we aren't going to be good anytime soon. It's time for a paradigm shift. The basketball coverage is pathetic, it is a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Make it right.

The lack of basketball coverage on this site is gross, hell atleast hire the Underdog dude, he seems to care. It is shameful that we have to get recruiting info from New Yorkers with blogs and national writers covering 300 schools.
None of you simps cried during basketball season when EA-Cat ruined numerous basketball threads crying about the football team. Using the logic of most of you all football talk should shut down the last week of November. While basketball recruiting isn't great it's way better than the garbage football recruiting. It's clear the dude who runs the site doesn't care for basketball recruiting, not sure how any of you can deny that.

maybe someone who has more insight into the profession of journalism than i can help me answer some basic questions.
First: to be a k-state beat writer is it a pre-requisite that you must not have ever participated in competitive sports and demonstrate a complete lack of athletic ability :block:
Second: as a k-state beat writer is it necessary to develop numerous hobbies (i.e. knitting, electric trains, comic books, chartered busses to strippers in topeka) to fill their days between stories, or does internet porn and the posting snarky dickheaded jabs at your customers through social networking outlets take up most of their free time :users:
Third: how much does it pay to write three paragraphs of regurgitated message board content a week? :nono:

Because if you have the audacity to say that you aren't 100% in love with the football program, obviously, you're a KU fan.
It's one of the many reasons I've posted less and less over there in the past few years. I waffle on dropping my subscription, but I'm renewed with every "OT: Quitting Chewing" thread and posts where some dildo decides to give his testimonial about how he handed his life over to Christ. The thread where grown men admitted crying about watching Fireproof was amazingly good reading.
At the end of the day, I'm not sure why I keep my sub there. I think most of it is that their mobile site is easy to load on my Pre and I can read it on the can.

One of life's great mysteries, Mr. Daris. It's like they realize they're paying for a subscription for inside/premium content, but they don't really have a firm understanding of what premium content actually is.
This is where I give FITZ a lot of credit from a business perspective. The way he basically runs a pay service that essentially doesn't follow any criterion objectives for the Rivals content model, but still has people entirely convinced that they're receiving a premium service while he spends all day being a clown ass on twitter instead of reporting actual news is pretty freaking brilliant, IMO.
Dude's definitely got a great Jim Jones thing going over there. The group anger is what I find particularly fascinating.
