Q. Bo, what were your thoughts on the
Red Out video? Would you prefer that it keep
the Beat Texas logo?

COACH PELINI:
Quote
To be honest, somebody
asked me about the Red Out video, and I was on
vacation. I didn't know anything about it. It was
actually a mistake. It was really intended to -- each
year our marketing department picks one football
game where they kind of take the alumni
throughout the country and try to make it
designated alumni game.

They picked the Texas game, and they
really made the mistake of putting Beat Texas
down on it. To be honest with you, I wasn't real
happy about it.
I mean, I like the idea. I like what they do,
and I really appreciate the fact that our -- that we
visit our reach out to our alumni, and we try to make a
special game for our alumni because, obviously,
Texas will be a nationally televised game, and it's
across the nation it's a game that's probably going
to be looked at pretty closely. So they chose that
football game.

Its called homecoming dumbass

I love reporters.  Makes me miss being in "the biz."  His opening comment was that he didn't want questions about the Big 10, and the first 3 questions were about it.

QFT...WTF is up with South Dakota State being their Homecoming?  I don't think they know what they are doing.

Not sure if I should be surprised or not to hear Greg Sharpe say on BITB's show that NU winning on the road against Washington would be "good for the conference."  Congrats Sharpie...your transformation into Jim Rose is almost complete.

It's really pathetic how much hope the close CCG (Dr. Pepper) has given those morons.  Probably analogous to how I felt after the Auburn game a few years back.

Will be hilarious when UT drops 35 on them in Lincoln, especially as the announcers speculate as to when Nubbs total yards will surpass UT's point total.  Losers

PETER IRWIN: We're now joined at the
podium by Coach LHC Bill Snyder from Kansas State.
Coach, you want to make an opening
statement? You generally don't, but if you choose
to do so, we'd love to have you do it.
COACH SNYDER: I don't. Welcome to all
of you. We appreciate having you here. I'm about
to lose my voice.
PETER IRWIN: We'll take questions from
the floor.

Q. Bill, there's been a lot in the news
lately about sports agents and kids. What do
you all do at Kansas State to deal with your
kids about that? How big of a concern is that
to you?
COACH SNYDER: Well, it's always been
a major concern. We have sessions with our
youngsters. We bring some people in to visit with
our youngsters.

Q. Coach, your thoughts on playing two Thursday night games. Seems kind of unusual. Also, can you talk about playing Nebraska, I believe, for the final time in a while at LHC Bill Snyder Family Stadium.

COACH SNYDER: Thursday night ball games, it's part of the TV-driven direction that college football has gone. I think it's great for the
viewing audience. I can appreciate it in that respect. I think for Kansas State, you know, considering where we're located and the distance that people have to come, it's not always my preference to do that. We have working-class people coming from western Kansas. It's pretty
hard for them to make a Thursday night game and get back for Friday workday. So weekends are probably a preference in that respect.

Nothing says progressive forward thinking, understanding life in these times like, "I wish every game could be at home kicking off at 1:10 and we never even thought about playing on Thursday".
