the elite arco's on the west coast are pretty good. double cheesburger for 1.39 is pretty amazing.
-
QT's service is unmatched.
-
I especially enjoy the signs in front of all QT's that read: "Safe Place" Then it's a picture of a white man holding down a black man.

caseys. and boom goes the dynamite.
-
I really love when someone starts a QT thread and all these plebs come on here and start mentioning some little shitty convenience stores. There isn't a single chain or non -chain conv. store that holds a candle to QT.
-

Probably Topeka. I know Lawrence has one.

Dude: Either those dudes are making out, or that white guy is straight up raping that black dude from behind. Guess that's one way for the man to hold them down?

Topeka has no QT :(
QT donuts+ rooster booster...

7/11's are pretty good but there aren't any around here. A lot of them have abandoned selling gas to soley concentrate on their warm rolly thing selection.

No worries. Don't let that bay area elitism get to your head.
-
They have a Quicktrip inside the sprint center. Donuts for 69 cents, frozen slushy things for a buck. Best deal in the house, imo. They also have sandwiches and stuff.
-
QT* apparently originated in Tulsa. Right now, as we speak there is a "test site" just down the street from my work. Apparently this new Quicktrip was designed by the wives of all the founders. I will check it out and post back with pictures and commentary.
*i'm an idiot and wasn't paying attention.

I've been to one around here, but didn't know where. No clue at all. :frown:

You guys ever been to Bucky's in TX ???
-
Bob Lutz LOVES Casey's General Stores.
-

They're all over Omaha too.
Oh and there's a nice QT in El Dorado.
Casey's is alright. But their food is pricey compared to QT.
-
I love how QT employees say "See you later" when you leave, like we are best friends now....which we totally are. The 2 for $2 steak taquitos with a coffee slush thing!!!!

I'm not one to gush about QT, but your reason for arco's being good is a double cheeseburger for 1.39 when nearly every fast food restaurant has them for a dollar now.
-
Eagle Qwik Mart :driving: Seriously though I miss QT.
-
QT keeps me fat and happy, emphasis on fat.
-
I plan on building one in manhattan. I'll be rich biotch!
:pbj:
-
Around here we have elite Scotchmen. The older ones suck, but their new stores . . . Pizza, dogs, loaded nachos, cheap fountain drinks, fresh cheap donuts, clean, wi-fi, nice sitting areas . . . elite.
-
Just got back from QT. I had a case of the mondays so I jetted on over to pick up a 49 cent 32oz Iced Tea along with a 99 cent cheddar jalepeno hot dog.
-
When I first moved to Manhattan for school, the first and only real disappointment I had was the lack of QT's. Come on man, even Winfield has a QT. One of the highlights of going home for the weekend was stopping in to QT for some delicious food as well as gassing up the car with a fresh $20 from Dad. Dara's is okay at best. Some of the Daras aren't even open 24 hours. More like an INconvenience store, amirite!?!

youarerite

Wish they had Wawa's in KS. Not only is it an amazing convenience store, but it's really fun to say.

the new QT kitchen (yes that is a flat screen showing adverts on the right. there is another one on the other side).

the rest of it looked pretty similar, but it had a much larger slushy section.

1 thing i'm passionate about is a good QT fountain drink :drink:
-
$.49 32 oz fountain drinks all summer!!!
-
I'm not saying that QT doesn't have great food, drinks, etc. (it does), but it is the service that sets them apart form the rest. Most decent convenience stores have items that are comparable to QT, some even better QT in certain areas. When it comes to service though, none of the pretenders can compete with QT.
The cashiers at QT will take down a line 20 deep in 3 to 4 minutes. 30 second transactions FTW!

i have insidery info that tells me if you want to climb the corporate ladder at all, you must work a store for 2 years. this often puts people with college degrees, even graduate degrees behind the counter. on top of that they are provided with benefits and stock options. completely different way to go about hiring gas station attendants.

I like the spicy cheese ones.

I try to forget the buffalo chicken thingy because it rules my crap if I let it.

North and South Broadway QT's in the 'ta are the most incredible hobo and drifter watching spots around.
-
QT's service is unmatched.
That's a huge selling point for QT, also why full-time staff start around 40k.
-
Daras Hot Stuff Pizza  not 2 shabby

Did you guys see my post about Wawa's? It's on the east coast so you guys probably don't know about it like I do.

A buddy of mine worked there during college and said that they have some sort of checklist that they are expected to perform for every customer. The company sends in secret shoppers and rewards them with a decent cash bonus if all the checklist items are met. (Think it's like 200 bucks or so, but I can't remember.) The whole greeting you when you walk in and saying something to you as you leave are both on the list. Plus, how often are those mofos spraying down the concrete around the store? Every time I go in there later in the evening, they seem to be doing it. Not sure if I have ever seen anyone at any other convenience store spraying even once.
