Here is the concept that bothers me the most about this season.....this idea being thrown around (particularly on GPC) bthat "Carson will start the season, but look for Klein to become the starter after a couple/few/handful games."

If we don't win at the beginning of the season, our season is mumped.  mumped.  So, are people assuming that we win and make a change at QB (ridiculous) or that we will lose at the beginning and be mumped (thus moving to a new QB)? :dunno:

We will be underdogs in every big 12 game but ISU.  Depending on how sucky we do leading up to it (very sucky is my guess) we may be dogs to NT as well.  Would not shock me to come out 2-10 or 3-9.

Year 2 of the return of OB and K-State QB options are:

Carson Coffman
Collin Klein
Sammy Lemur

That should tell anyone that doesn't already know how horrible this coaching staff is at recruiting.  In 2 recruiting classes they failed to bring in even one serviceable Juco QB . . . not a one.

Guys on GPC are coming to a consensus that we will be somewhere between 8-0 and 6-2 when we play Texas.  Lot's of "7-1 is worst case" type posts.   :ksu:

we're gonna suck, but who the hell thinks grant Gregory is any better than Coffman?  Both are as bad as most 3rd string walkon qb's in the MAC.  Only difference is Carson needing to pause for 1 second to wet himself after he took the snap.  we're going single wing this year boys, in Snyder we trust  :frown:

There are a lot of winnable games. I'd say all of our games our winnable exept at MU. UT will definitely be tough but we own them. Plus the game is in Manhattan.

IMO, crappy QB notwithstanding, I think our offense will be OK. Not good or great but OK. It won't be the quarterback that makes or breaks us, it will be the defense and I'm not feeling too good about that side of the ball.

IMO, progress for this team would be solid form tackles on the D and blocking on the O. I dont care if the games are ugly, as long as we win I am a happy dude.

Can anyone see a scenario of CC looking like a rough ridin' dipshit and winning a few squeekers and still getting replaced? Oh, San Anton is a short 5 hrs to Denton!!! I will be present to observe the mean green game - should be a fun roadie.

I'm expecting another 2001-esque letdown this year. Just like then, everyone is expecting us to take the next step this year (except we were much further up the ladder back then) only we end up taking 2 steps backwards.

Sadly . . . Western Kentucky, Idaho, and South Dakota St. were all taken by somebody else.

It's called recruiting in Texas . . . too bad Cornhole won't be doing much of it anymore.

But really . . . Cornhole fans are going to be treated to a home non con schedule of . . . Western Kentucky, Idaho and South Dakota State??

I finished a whole entire year in the A.Q. Miller School of Journalistic Sexiness, and I personally would have put a period there.

Is that place getting better?  Some real losers have been in there as faculty/lecturer/staff.

That was four years ago, I start grad school this year. I'm not completely sure but I've heard it's not much better than when I started in 06'. I was pretty disappointed and it's not like I had that high of expectations going in. I decided pretty quick that I wasn't doing three more years there. Nearly transferred to Mizzou but just couldn't do it.

It actually really sucked at the time. Pretty much had to choose between writing and K-State. Probably worked out for the best though. Funny how money catches up to doing what you like pretty quickly on your priority list as you get older.

I don't know about the rest of it, but the absolute plummet of the Collegian from when Weefer caved in and fired their adviser until now is a disgrace.   It went from being an award winning college publication to a joke.

we're going single wing this year boys

I would welcome this.

I'm still in mourning about Chris Harper.  The reports of his massive laziness hurt me a great deal....not because I believe them to be false, but because I believe them to be true.

Our schedule scares the hell outta me. Practically all our most winnable games are on the road where we suck. We'll be tougher at home but also play our toughest competition there.

Out of our first 4 games: I could see 3 wins, but i'll go with 2 for now.

Conference road games(not ISU): I think we can get one, and we're gonna have to get one to have any chance at all at a bowl.

Con home games: Out of Nub, UT, and OSU I'll say we get one.

Leaves us with either 4 or 5 wins heading to UNT.  :barf:

Agreed.  And, this is what makes the "I think Carson will start the season, but Klein will take over" talk so rough ridin' stupid IF you have any expectation of us winning.  That scenario ONLY plays out if we get killed in the early non-con / farmageddon.

find a way to win 6 or 7 and go bowling.  if ukans or nebr. is one of the wins, its a successful season.

I don't think we'll win 1 road game.

excluding ISU in Arrowhead we will win atleast two road games

KU, BU, MU, CU, NT

Colorado and North Texas are going to be BAD so is KU

we got this  :bait:

Chris is mad because he isnt playing QB.

Lets be honest, is he even that good of a reciever?  :dunno:

IMO, could end up being more effective as a QB?

Apparently, CH has a bum wing.  Dude is an exceptional athlete though, so you would think he could be a solid WR.

He can't throw worth a crap. He needs to be a WR.
