wild game. great build up. felt so weird after the game, you know back in the days we never lost home games.
-
that was depressing.
-
I remember when OU fans started throwing oranges onto Wagner field after that game.

Is this why the OU side of Arrowhead got showered with bags of Tostitos Chips after the '03 championship? Cause I was there and thought that it was amazing.
Would of been very :chainsaw: if I was at the game when they threw Oranges on our field though.

I was so cocky back then, thought there was only like a 10% chance we'd lose.
-
Our defense was pathetic that game.

I was there, as a 5th grader (wow). The Texas win was great, but this win was the? one where our title hopes became very realistic. And I've never heard a louder stadium than when KSU blocked our punt...
I, along with pretty much anybody in attendance that day agree with that statement. I think it's crazy how well OU fans remember that play, though, considering the insane amount of big games that they have played in over the past decade. A little over a year ago, I was driving through Oklahoma with a K-State shirt on and stopped to get something to eat and an OU fan told me that he has never heard a louder stadium than when they played in Manhattan in 2000.

Confirmed. Loudest stadium of all time (North America only).

It's one the vid. at the 7:46 mark. It was just an epic build up of fan excitement. We were down 38-17 at the end of the 3rd quarter, then Q scored on the screen and we were excited. Then we sacked them on 3rd down forcing a punt. Then David Allen came in to return the punt and we all thought he would run it back. Then we blocked the punt and we went absolutely rough ridin' crazy. We had cut it from 21 to 7 in 2 minutes and it was a 7 point game with 10 to play.
You'll notice that they show the crowd reaction after the Newman TD for a about a minute. The place was absolute pandemonium. The only thing I can think of that rivals it is the Second deep TD by Freeman to Figures against UT in 06. That was were we ran up 3 quick scores or so, very similar situations. Those two moments were incred.

brandon Archer's INT snyds last game was increds. and should be up there too.

Really underrated game imo, probably because it got us to 5 wins, but really, a great come back and great play.
At halftime of the 2000 OU game, my dad told an OU fan in the bathroom that "You guys are so damn arrogant." First time I'd ever heard him swear.

Honest to god, I screamed so loud I knocked the wind out of myself. Everybody was jumping around while I was doubled over convinced I'd given myself a heart attack.

No doubt. Easily the loudest moment I've ever been a part of. One of the more fun games, minus the fact that we lost of course, but the whole build up of college gameday and being number 2 in the nation. Man, those were the times.

Also home of the best sign at Wagner, hanging from East suites. dOUble crossed

OU fan leaving the stadium: "Thank GOD we stole all their coaches!"
