trying to keep everyone pumped up during the down time of the sports season.
3. 2000 - beating nubb 29-28, 19 deg, drinking hot damn and crown royal in the student section wearing nothing but a white tee shirt, jeans and docs. Kept warm by the EMAW and the liquor flowing through my veins - kissing the goal posts prior to their resting place atop Rusty's Last Chance.
2. 2002 - beating SOCAL, after what looked like the momentum swinging - T-New did his thang* and I was able to witness both SC beatings live and in person. To watch Pete Carroll looking like a lost puppy and have Carson Palmer throw 18-36 was amazing.
1. 2003 - Big 12 CH, every time I am down, I think about that night and all things seem a little better. 0 turnovers (thanks Nick Leckey) and OUfan looking around in complete disbelief. Ted Sims running down the OU sideline (still have never seen all the footage) and taunting the entire OU team to just add a little icing to the cake was a thing of beauty. We were one Ell Roberson broken finger from being in the NC without question.
*One of the most incredible plays I have ever seen in sports.

Beating UT in 2006 was nuts. LOADS of EMAW.

Beating UT in 2006 was nuts.
:frown: Yeah would've been fun had my roommate and I not gotten drunk too far beforehand. We were freezing our bawls off and decided to walk home with the moral victory intact "It's Texas, they'll come back. Hey, at least we knocked McCoy the shazbot! out."
Got home just in time to get toasty and watch the final minutes. Should've been there.

These are my in-person experiences.
3. Vs. #6 Ku 1995, was a freshman at K-State. We were ranked #14, I believe. It was never close; after Ku's first possesion, we blocked the punt for a safety (maybe TD?) never looked back. First time I ever rushed the field.
2. Vs OU, 2000, reg season. Despite the loss, it was easily the loudest I have ever heard that place; We were down 31-17. We stopped OU deep in their territory. We block their punt for a TD, and the place just exploded, freaking nuts. I honestly thought we had the momentum and would pull it out after that. Alas, OU promptly marched right down the field for a TD. Heupel= :chainsaw:
1. Vs. Nebraska 2003, My first time in Lincoln. My roommate and I, on a whim, decided to roadie up that morning and try our luck with scalpers. Otherwise we'd catch it in a bar. As luck would have it, we ran into an EMAW explaining two of his buddies bailed on him. He wanted face value for his extras, and, what's more, they were in the K-State section. First half was close, but then E3 and Terry took over in the 2nd half. I loved seeing the dejected Nubbs while walking out of Memorial.

3. Vs. #6 Ku 1995
Can anyone who was alive and coherent during that time explain to me why KU was ranked so high during like '94-95?

Can you believe that half the conference finished the season ranked in the top 10 in 1995?
#1 NU (12-0): Greatest college football team of all time according to everyone but Kirk Herbstreit.
#4 CU (10-2): Only losses to NU and KU. (We had them beat and let them score in the final minute.) :bawl:
#6 KSU (10-2): Only losses to NU and CU.
#10 KU (10-2): Only losses to NU and KSU.
All four teams dominated in their bowl games as well.

They had upset Colorado in Boulder earlier that season. KU came into Manhattan undefeated.

FTW
Little doubt that it will be a greater contribution to EMAWdom than Henley Haymaker's land grants.

reading all these responses, as magnificent as they are, im left wondering. will there be new, impressive emaw moments in the future? i honestly do not know.
