That's, like, free.

Hail damage baby.
The one I have is 12 years old and has 3 layers of shingle.
I feel like I won a big prize.

Just bought a new outdoor A/C unit for $2,700. Is that good? :dunno:
-
I think so. Did you install?

My house probably could use a new roof, and could definitely use some new siding because I have that crappy old asbestos shingle siding. I have been waiting years for a mega hailstorm and/or tornado to pass by and cause enough damage for insurance to take care if it. Hello, Kansas? Thunderstorms.....tornadoes...help a brother out here!!!!
$1200 for a new roof sounds amazing.
-
I assume that's 1200 after insurance?

Nope. :gocho:

1200 is the deductable. Insurance is paying 5 thousands

You're Amish???

people who pay for new roofs are bad at finding shady roofers that mark up the price of their bill to cover the deductable. sucker.

That's me. I had a god damn leak on shake and had to pay for a 9000 tear off job, but the warranty on my new timberline roof is lifetime and transferable, so I should get that back when I sell.

doesn't really work like that anymore. Insurance companies do their own estimates and won't pay a dime more than that.

really... sounds like you're getting mumped in the ass by your insurance company; because me, my neighbor & my dad all got new roofs after a hail storm last july. sucker.

I work for the insurance company and do the estiamtes. I do the fracking. :gocho: lol, oh really? This roof costs 12000? Cause I've written it up for 6000. Good luck.

Yeah, then if they argue I send out an independent adjuster and have him tell them it's only 6000. One time I had a roofer tell me he put in an extra 1000 to pay for the Insured's deductible. I was like, umm. . . why would you tell me that. I can have you put in jail.
-
yeah, sorry. I didn't hear you guys. I was outside admiring my free roof. :gocho:

If my house ever needs a new roof I'm just going to buy a new house

Getting new roof because of hail as well. Plenty of people out there that will take care of the deductible "legally". Put sign in yard etc., etc. Also getting two sides of house painted, new gutters, new grill, all window screens replaced (two broken windows) and hoping for new AC unit. :crossfingers: (ftp://:crossfingers:)

I bet you're insurance company loves you. All they do is collect your premium and never have to pay out.
