Sorry, but even the weakest, smallest kid on the playground would call Snyder 'chicken' for this line of thnking. Whatever happened to the ideals of competition? Whatever happened to wanting to prove yourself against the best? Snyder doesn't want to compete against Mack Brown and Bob Stoops every year? Fine. Get out of college football and hang up your whistle now, because you shouldn't be leading young men.

Coach Turgeon, at least, is cognizant of who the real breadwinner in college athletic departments is; Kansas State head coach Frank Martin seemed to be a little bit defiant:
"I've been a big enough fan of college sports my whole life to understand that football makes the big TV dollars," said Kansas State coach Frank Martin. "What's frustrating is that the NCAA -- 97 percent of their whole budget comes from men's basketball. And yet, nobody was going to stand up and try to protect that and (stop the ruin of) some of these conference rivalries and environments that have been created, which is what makes the Big 12 so special."
Well, Frank, when you can get an average of 46,763 fans to show up for every Wildcat home basketball game, then television networks might actually take your basketball program into consideration when discussing realignment; until then, K-State just needs to sit down and shut up, and hope the next round of realignment really isn't coming in 2012, because they'll be headed for the Mountain West Conference or worse again. The demographics of Kansas aren't going to change enough in two years to make Kansas State or Kansas schools in a desired television market. The real question now, though, is how the possible realignment scenarios effect the next few years in college basketball.

I like the A&M perspective of "the Big 3 and tagalongs division" where they put themselves in the same class as Texas and Oklahoma. Now that is great comedy.

I have always disliked the Collie Cult and never could understand the powerespect infatuation with them, and their Lame-O, same songs, same march, same everything every year band.
