close to menorah would be Ironhorse. http://www.ironhorsegolf.com/
it's a challenging public, you should enjoy.

Second the Iron Horse nod. Great public course.
-
closer than Iron Horse is Deer Creek @ 135th and Metcalf. Menorah is @ 119 @ Nall.

Got invited to play tomorrow. Turns out it's at Sycamore Ridge, which a quick google maps search informed me that it's in Spring rough ridin' Hill. :flush:
Anyone played there?

that's colbert's course in KC. front is links style, lots of prairie, etc. back is in the woods, more traditional design. it wasnt bad a decade ago when i played there last. there's some cool visuals on the back 9. close to bonita flats.
-
I'm awful, so I'll leave my opinion out of this.

Enjoy your round. It's a fun course. Report back. I'm playing there Sunday.

Iron Horse is nice but I agree on Swope. Not as hard, but is prob the prettiest course in KC.
