Talked about C. Coffman battling Colin Klein and others for the top QB spot til G. Gregory came in and took it away.  Doesn't think C. Coffman will be any good.  Also said that he wouldn't be surprised to see HCBS take KSU to postseason(silver lining  :crossfingers:)

Book is out now at local walmarts.  Didn't buy because KSU Cat preview was depressing and I'm also a cheap ass.

I'm guessing the North looked like this:

1.  NU
2.  MU
3.  CU
4.  KU
5.  KSU
6.  ISU

:dunno:

He doesn't think K-State will be a worse team but says the Cats will struggle with their schedule.

"Snyder is one of the best and despite a new QB, this is a stronger team compared to last year. They take on a much tougher Big 12 schedule, however. I will still give them a shot at the postseason."

He is usually pretty good at predicting. Says that six of his nine sets of power rankings suggest Nebraska will go 12-0 in the regular season.

Steele says Iowa State has the hardest schedule in the country.

Consequently ... "I will call for a drop below .500."

Consistently more accurate and insightful than his competitors.

Also, he's in love with LHC Bill Snyder.

Guys,

Phil is always NEARLY dead on.  However, he frequently gets one Big 12 team VERY wrong.  For example, his KU prediction to finish fourth in the North last year was dead wrong.

I think we all know which team he is wrong about this year.   :gocho: :katpak: :users:

He was more wrong about Colorado last year. He thought the Buffs would get back to at least .500 and a bowl game. Once again he thinks Colorado will improve, as they are #16 on his "most improved list."

Texas A&M is #9.

If K-State sucks ATS, they'll have a shitty record.

Cats won't be favored more than five times all season.

Do you realize you are on a KSU board telling everyone how you are excited to talk about the end result of a KSU football season THAT HASN'T EVEN STARTED YET?

and now you will  :bawl:

If Ben is predicting something football related at this point of the year, you can pretty much guarantee it won't happen.

Even though Steele predicts KU to finish ahead of KSU, he thinks the Cats are better.

From the famous "Power Poll":

K-State #66
KU #70
