What is going on everyone. I was put in a family groupchat this morning to figure out the tailgate spread for the Aer Lingus Classic as we are less than 2 months away! :ksu:
Not gonna lie Irish food kind of sucks balls so I am planning on doing a big ole kansas sampler with some of my favorite foods replicated or things that I can buy. What is on your Kansas Dream tailgating spread? Keep in mind that I would like to keep things that I can fit on two full size baking sheets.
Current Ideas. A Manhattan area spread on one tray and a Kansas City spread on the other. Would do beer pairings from both areas along with a Guiness for ireland of course.
The game is at 11am.
Also feel free to put your best tailgates /gameday spreads throughout the season here!

5 layer dip

What would a Manhattan area spread look like these days? I haven't been back in years. A pan full of Rusty's burgers and fries would have been the most iconic thing when I was living there.

So my thoughts are as follows and kind of basic.
Manhattan Brewing Company Beers
Alma Cheese Curds and Sausage (Not explicitly Manhattan but adjacent)
Fanestil Party Time ham which is a family favorite (Not explicitly Manhattan but adjacent)
Burger Sliders made of KSTATE BEEF from Call Hall
Homemade Chipotle Raspberry Bean Dip like so long
Homemade Dang Quesadillas from the Chef (which i make monthly and am DANG close to perfecting)
Some sort of pastries from the Little Batch Bakery.

how do you plan on getting all of this food on an airplane?

how do you plan on getting all of this food on an airplane?
Well you see great question but not a problem i have. We are watching the game at a relatives house so really just need to get it from KC back to ICT the weekend of the game.

Wait, so the tailgate is actually going to happen in Wichita, not Ireland?
The list you made above looks pretty awesome.

Yeah we are not going to Ireland, would have been cool but I just started a new job and not a lot of time off. So doing it down in Wichita with my family.
Thanks for the kudos on the list. If anyone has any ideas to add let me know.

5 layer dip
End thread. Just make a giant baking sheet sized 5 layer dip and call it a day.
-
use the chili drawer for a little extra flavor
-
Throw on some all beef dogs as a tribute to Weird Robert
-
i'm a sucker for pinwheels, doesn't really matter what's in 'em

Thought about pinwheels! They are also one of my favorites

This is actually the best question: presuming Robert will be strolling around Dublin with zip lock baggies, what can/should those of us in attendance bring for Robert?
-
Haven’t read a single post ITT but Guac and pico are a must. Also, chorizo in Mexican store bought melted cheese

THE SHAME YOURSELF THREAD IS A SAFE SPACE

There comes a point where a hotbox ceases to be funny.
