Title: New Orleans has a University?
Post by: ben ji on November 05, 2024, 07:24:02 PM
No, not Tulane. Apparently there is a school called New Orleans University and we are currently losing to them in basketball? Is this real?

After a 13-2 run we are now winning, praise be.

DNG is a beast. So happy for him.

Also, Max Jones might be it this year.

A large part of that half Coleman was acting as our PG and Buddy Rich was on for extended minutes.

Dug is really smooth, DNG has really grown up, no more baby deer and has developed a nice little sky hook.  Hausen seems like one of those guys that will get hot in a game and drop 30 pts.  Max Jones  :)

That was pretty fun to watch once they got going. Hopefully they continue to gel. A little worried about the D, but if we just drop bombs every game it might not matter.

Would think with our length that we'll start incorporating more zone (was surprised we didn't play more last night)

Holy crap that was awesome (after the first 8-10mins). Hawkins looks like the leader, which is wild considering he ended up with only 6 points and went 1/6 from 3. Meaning he should be putting up a lot more points going forward, right?!

If we take Hawkins 3pt shooting out of the mix, K-State shot just under 43% from 3. Wowzers!!

Does anyone know what's up with Achor? He played a lot during the exhibition game. Seemingly he was replaced by Max but to get 0 minutes seems wild.

He had a family thing/some other thing that kept him out of the game.  This is from Mrs. Fedor as she was working on wordle while watching the game so some details could be off.

I hope Mrs. Fedor is correct.

He came out during the halftime warm ups with a back brace. Then periodically during the second half, I saw him planting his thumbs in his lower back near his sides. I assumed he has a lower back issue. Hopefully he gets that taken care of and it doesn’t linger all season.

So happy for N' Guessan a long time #myguy for me. The reactionaries will expect games like this from him all the time and that's not going to happen.

We have a lot of shooters!!! Yesterday, before the game, I was listening to a national podcast, and I wish I could remember the stat, but we were in a small group of schools with three elite 3 point shooters, that didn't count freshmen. We're going to shoot a crap ton of 3s and I'm going to love it, the olds will hate the crap out of it though.

Tang said in his press conference Monday that Achor traveled home for a family issue and hadn't got back yet altho he was to return that day. He said he doubted he'd play Tuesday.

I'm sure this team will piss us off on cold shooting nights, but they are exciting AF!

They won't, but people gotta be patient with this. My hope is that we're Alabama north.
