Are you asking for the physical location of the bell or why we do not ring it anymore?
-
well physical location i mean texas tech shouldn't be ringing bells that our thing and why we don't ring it anymore.
-
I think the bell has been gone for like, 30 years. Hope all is well, Brad.

The only thing I know about a bell is from old video of Snyder's first win at KSU. Have never seen footage of a bell since then.
Maybe they could bring in some artillery pieces from Ft Riley to fire off after Cat TDs?

I liked the cannon on the hill too Brad.

This is indeed a fun piece of Kazzou trivia. Shortly after Frank Hernandez caught the winning pass in the southernmost NW corner of the end zone against North Texas State, all 1100 of us in attendance stormed the field. A K-State player rang the ever-loving crap out of the bell, and unbeknownst to any of us, that was the last time it would ever ring, because he broke it in hilarious fashion.
100 Bonus cat-bucks if you can tell me the name of the player who broke it

And yes, I know they dropped the “state” the year before we played them, but after watching Necessary Roughness they will ALWAYS be the NTSU fightin’ Sinbads

Going further down the bell rabbit hole, evidence below of Frank Hernandez and Al Jones ringing a bell after defeating KU in '91. Unknown if this is "the bell" of legend or a recast commissioned by LHCBS to replace the sacrificed bell.

I remember the first time HLCat posted and I've been patiently waiting the last 13 years for the next one and folks...it was worth the wait!
