You hate to go into officiating, but this game signaled a continuation of crappy officiating from last year. NDSU got hosed on several out-of-bounds plays where NDSU players were thrown down while they were out of bounds. This is Sanders' game of getting in opponents heads, which is familiar from playing OU - use unflagged illegal play to intimidate opponents. Buffs got jobbed on a couple of holding calls.
Do we have speed anywhere fast enough in our secondary to cover Travis Hunter? I had to laugh on the angle an NDSU defender took on tackling Hunter in the open field - the safety took a grossly short angle towards Hunter, I'm not sure I've seen anyone burned as bad as that.

They’ve played each other 60 times coming into today, including basically every years from 1940 to the early 90s when Penn St joined the B10.

I haven't looked at their schedule but there are a few teams in the SEC that could feasibly beat them on a mediocre performance. Bama, Tenn,Ole Miss and Georgia at least have the athletes to hang around.

I laughed at you all for saying you will watch Will Howard games but I'm finding myself doing it this year. The low quality of Big 12 this year has me looking for games from the P2.
This is my first time watching anything other than his highlights. Nothing flashy, but a pretty well oiled offense. Seems like Will was spot on with those comments that got some Cats fans riled up.

Will is playing very well and the team really like him, but bad person talking heads can't quit talking about all his interceptions at KSU. Also, even though Day gave him a million+ to play for OSU, he doesn't praise him much. His chances of winning a Heisman are close to zero.
He's not Heisman quality but as you mentioned he doesn't have to be.

Agreed, it's dumb as hell, far more dumb than any other conference consolidation because the Big 10 and Pac 12 spent so much time flaunting a moral superiority. They not look like the biggest sellouts in college athletics, which says a ton.

Howard is treated by pretty much everyone as some kind of completely pedestrian cog regardless of what he does. He's 9 for 9 against Nebraska with beautiful deep 40yd/60yd TD passes to two different guys. Not a word about his perfect 60yd TD pass - just effusive praise for (admittedly incredible) WR Smith.He was very underappreciated at KSU, too. Heck, Avery is underappreciated here.

I just finished watching the '24 FCS championship game. NDSU won, and by golly, their head coach looked like CK. Both have the ham and potato faces. LOL
Dad is a Montana State grad, was pulling for them. Really MSU misplayed the end of the half, and the two big 3rd and 6th's they let NDSU convert doomed them. Also MSU coach did a lot of weird tongue stuff every time they showed him.
Regardless it sucked, really wanted it for my dad (they haven't won since 84 ffs). Oh well.
Montana State's clock management at the end of the game...woof.
I know everyone thinks ksu end of half and game clock management is especially bad but I think we are just witnessing college football. Every team is bad at clock management
I enjoyed the game and thought the teams were indistinguishable from D1 teams. MSU's QB won the top QB reward, and it looks like the entire team was there but behind the glassed in area where he received his trophy. They really were happy for him and showed it when he met with them.

Yeah, the top FCS teams (probably top 15-20) are pretty capable of hanging with and beating a lot of FBS teams. The one NDSU WR was a legit WR regardless of level. Make unreal grabs
