The Irish have some similarities to us in that they drink excessively and fight constantly. But also some differences in that they fornicate with their own relatives. 2 similarities and 1 difference!
-
rumblings that k-state is going to play notre dame in ireland
matching up the top two most recognizable college football teams in one game is marketing genius.
-
Scuttlebutt is the Irish were clamoring for this matchup but K-State was playing hard-to-get
-
:JealousHavs:
-
is there a stadium big enough to host the kats?
-
:JealousHavs:
i think it's actually Farmageddon so you're in

I've since gathered its a possibility. God I hope this happens.

you serious clark?

those floodaggie rubes will get stuck in a bog

This makes sense. The Irish have to play in Ireland to get even a slight chance of victory.
It will be interesting to see if the fake Irish are welcome and/or cheered in Ireland. If some team from Ireland called themselves the Americans, we would probably boo the crap out of them and throw fast food trash on them as they played.
-
Personally, I would love the Americans
-
When I was in Dublin there were posters like this all over and my airport cab drove by the grounds and I thought it was awesome

This place is absolutely massive. Seats 82,000 and has a pitch that is 150 yards long by 90 yards wide:

I'm confused, are we supposedly playing notre dame in ireland next year or just playing notre dame or just playing some other random team in ireland?
pls help

Yes! This is something I enjoy that most Americans never think about. There is American-themed crap in other countries, and it's always hilarious.
I went to an "American" restaurant in Switzerland, and if I can figure out how to upload the Snapchats, it would be a joy for some of you.
-
Btw, the restaurant was terrible.
-
How can we play a potential home game in Ireland when our small businesses in Manhattan are still working off the chapter 11 they had to file when the Stanford game got moved to Dallas?

There was an Americafest festival in Frankfurt when we were there. It was just some old country music & people dressed up like Woody from Toy Story.
-
That's exactly the kind of stuff I'm talking about. I walked into this restaurant with a backlit sign of the space shuttle, a bald eagle, and a generic American football player, and the first kitschy sign I saw read "Please scrape crap from boots!" Mind you, these people speak Swiss German. I'll figure out how to export the Snapchats. The menu was hilarious.
-
How accurate is the depiction of an American restaurant in Arrested Development? Do they give out stacks of onion rings?
-

Authentic!

I'll try to post pics tomorrow, I swear.
-
Yes, I love American style restaurants and they are always terrible. I went to an "American style cheeseburgers" place in Newcastle. Awful burgers but it had like 4.5 stars

Jamie Pollard said on 1460 KXNO yesterday that Iowa State is one of a handful being considered for the Ireland game, and that it'd be considered a "road game" on Aug 23, 2025. Didn't mention K-State but kind of implied it.
-
Can ISU drink Ireland dry?

Irish can't drink it dry so I doubt it. It's also a bit more of a feat when it's Guinness and not natty light
-
They drink busch light bud.
Remember when the dakota people were bragging about how much captain morgan they drink?

They need to audition to play us like all the others have. Get in line clones

One of my best friends from college all he would drink was Guinness. I am ready for the challenge. :comehere:

Will they allow ISU to import Busch Light to the stadium for this game?
-
After we whip their ass in Ireland do they schedule the next one in Africa?
-
As a season ticket holder who lives in Ames rough ridin' Iowa, this is the absolute worst case scenario. I'm livid. Not letter writing mad, but pissed nevertheless.

Rough day for you

KITH, this is by far my favorite. Maybe remove the redundant ball in the background, and WTF is those green-fying things?.

AI has written a song for us:
🎵 “Farm O'Gedden” 🎵
(Verse 1) In the heart of Dublin’s fair embrace, Where shamrocks bloom and legends trace, Two teams converge, their spirits high, Kansas State Wildcats, Iowa State Cyclones fly.
(Pre-Chorus) Aviva Stadium stands tall and grand, Its hallowed turf kissed by Irish land, The echoes of Gaelic cheers resound, As football’s magic weaves its spell around.
(Chorus) Oh, Farm O'Gedden, under Irish skies, Gridiron warriors clash, hearts ablaze, Wildcats and Cyclones, fierce and true, In Dublin’s embrace, dreams anew.
(Verse 2) Purple and silver, the Wildcats stride, Their claws sharp, their hearts open wide, From Manhattan’s plains to Dublin’s shore, They carry the pride of the prairie’s lore.
(Pre-Chorus) And the Cyclones, oh, they whirl and spin, Their cardinal sails catch the winds within, From Ames they journeyed, across the sea, To face their destiny, bold and free.
(Chorus) Oh, Farm O'Gedden, under Irish skies, Gridiron warriors clash, hearts ablaze, Wildcats and Cyclones, fierce and true, In Dublin’s embrace, dreams anew.
(Bridge) The Liffey whispers secrets old, As touchdowns bloom like marigold, The crowd roars, a symphony of green, In this transatlantic football dream.
(Chorus) Oh, Farm O'Gedden, under Irish skies, Gridiron warriors clash, hearts ablaze, Wildcats and Cyclones, fierce and true, In Dublin’s embrace, dreams anew.
(Outro) As the sun dips low, the clock winds down, Kansas and Iowa, their legacy unbound, In Dublin’s twilight, they etch their tale, Farm O'Gedden, forever set sail. 🏈🍀
