Title: West Virginia (there) game
Post by: CHONGS on January 09, 2024, 07:07:17 PM
Man it feels like we should be up by a lot at half instead of down two.

Frustrating team to watch sometimes

the level of aids-ridden sites to which i have to descend to find a stream of this game suggests kstate may not be very good this year.

Guys! They just showed the pictures of our final four teams and they showed the ‘51 team! My grandpa was on that team and he was in the picture they showed! They lost to Kentucky in the national championship game!

We finally wore them down and beat the life out of them down the stretch

I may have my gripes about Perry as a pure PG, but he’s an exceptional ball-handler. Couple that with his FT shooting and that could go a long way to icing the end of games.

Never heard anything like it on a broadcast. Shame that the Cats have to play in such a cesspit.

Got the road win despite getting no offense for long stretches in the second half.

The offense was flatlined when Cam and TP were on the bench.

My favorite was

"HEY REF! YOUR SUPPOSED TO BLOW THE WHISTLE....NOT THE GAME!"

Seems they have a lot of e seats beyond the baseline for an intimate arena.

I don't feel like that arena is intimate at all. It feels massive, like it has a capacity of like 30,000. Maybe it's the high ceiling and two decks but it feels huge in there.

Yes, it looked huge on the TV. Wikipedia says 14,000 capacity.

It's always looked cavernous.

It's a similar build to Mackey Arena (Purdue, 14,000), and The State Farm Center (Illinois, 15,000+), which both seem far more intimate on TV.

It must have something to do with the combination of the extremely high ceiling and the more vertical nature of the seating bowl.

I've been in WVU Coliseum when it was empty. It's completely above ground, it feels so damn big.

we kind of bullied them in the second half, way more physical and somehow the refs we're calling any of it, which was weird after they were calling some crazy crap in the first half especially on some of those 3's.

Man I like, watched the wild wildcats game and apparently was just in a basketball vacuum. Had no idea Purdue got boat raced by Nebraska or UH lost at ISU. Cray
