How am I supposed to know from the thread title what week of snowbrag this is if you make a master thread?!
-
NUBig12 with 1 team out of 14 is pretty bad.
Snowbrag hates the crap out of FSU
Sectioning out the big 12 minus OUT but not putting in the four corners is a miss
-
snowbrag starts each new season as a blank slate. no carryover from the previous year, no recruiting input, etc. i enjoy watching the great teams slowly filter to the top.
Snowbrag hates the crap out of FSU
florida state will be fine.
if you're wondering where georgia is, they are #27. georgia has played the #125 most difficult schedule (out of 133 total).
-
Sectioning out the big 12 minus OUT but not putting in the four corners is a miss
i will include old b12 and AUASUCUUU from now on
-
Thank you for your service mocat, I have always contended it is far superior to other models generated by users on this blog site.

So is Georgia ranked 0 or…?

They've played one of the worst schedules in college football and haven't been terribly convincing while doing so. If I had a poll vote I wouldn't put them in my top 5.

week 6 snowbrag
georgia has entered the top 25 after limping to 5-0. texas got a SOS bump from playing kansas while michigan took a hit from playing nebraska, what a time to be alive. i do not include the numbers because nobody cares, but spots 1-5 are all very close.

Would snowbrag still predict OU to beat UT if it was played at DKR? I'm assuming you have some sort of home field factor in your model.
It is crazy how far off the pokes have fallen. Gundy has basically packed it in seemingly and is daring the school to pay his monstrous buyout.
-
I'll be rooting for Meth Tiger over Bayou Bengal!
-
tech jumping 19 spots for beating houston? thatsa one aspicy ameatball!
-
tech jumping 19 spots for beating houston? thatsa one aspicy ameatball!
that is a pretty big jump so i looked into it. TTU went from 0 to 1 FBS wins, and all three of their previous FBS opponents won and are now a combined 13-2 and all in the top 40.
i'd imagine there are a lot of big jumps early in the season amongst the great unwashed teams ranked worse than 25
-
i mean, it is a trademark of snowbrag that the first few weeks are going to see some wild and crazy moves and then it balances out by like the halfway point of the season.
-
it's an organic sorting process.

-
31st best team is the highest ranked NuBig12 member. Ruh roh.
it's a weird time in the b12. 6 noncon losses to non-p5 teams is really bad:
baylor (texas state)
cincinnati (miami-ohio)
houston (rice)
iowa state (ohio)
oklahoma state (south alabama)
texas tech (wyoming)
for context, this is how many noncon losses to non-p5 teams the other conferences have:
B10: 1 (purdue to fresno st)
SEC: 1 (vanderbilt to unlv)
P12: 2 (asu to fresno st, stanford to sacramento st)
ACC: 4 (bc to northern ill, gt to bowling green, uva to james madison, vt to marshall)
-------
SBC: 6
MWC: 6
CUSA: 9
AAC: 10
MAC: 11

31st best team is the highest ranked NuBig12 member. Ruh roh.
these things are cyclical, the conference sucks this year, so what? There's no need to delineate anything further from that. Two years ago the Pac 12 was as bad as the Big 10 West is now. The SEC had like 8 of the top 10 teams, now Missouri is the 4th highest rated team, barely in the top 25.

yep

Which programs do you see cyclically rebounding into top 25 candidates for 24 and 25? We certainly have quite a few programs that have the resources but the next couple year outlook to me is kind of bleak.

it doesn't matter which ones. if you're suggesting ksu/wvu/isu/baylor/osu/ttu/tcu/ku/cin/byu/houston/ucf will ALL be outside the top 25 in '24 and '25, that is a wager i will gladly take. preseason, midseason, end of season, doesn't matter
-
I'm suggesting the teams in our conference capable of recruiting well enough to be in the conversation for the new playoff format appear to not be on that trajectory in the short term.
-
There's no reason to think somebody can't 2022 TCU their way into an all time pantsing in the cfp ccg

Who rough ridin' knows, could be anyone. 3/4 of the conference has played for a conference championship and or been in the NY6 in the last decade. The only reason the conference is in the shape it's in this year is because of losses in the non con, that's not going to happen every year, wetwillie.

Goalpost movement aside, what does projection or more aptly in this case, perceived projection, mean in the transfer portal era? How did the Pac 12 project before they literally turned over a complete conference worth of starting quarterbacks? The transfer portal, and almost exclusively at one position, is exactly why the Pac has ascended to where they are and the SEC has fallen to their current space.

spots 1-5 remain very close, although washington was able to hang onto the top spot despite a lackluster effort against a terrible opponent. the cats are back in the t25, thanks in part to continued winning from the two teams that they have lost to.

Bedlam and CTR with huge Arlington implications. Wowza.
And junior farmageddon. The top 6 teams all essentially in a one week battle royale. I cannot believe that past the halfway point in the season KU and ISU are still in firm control of reaching Arlington. I also wonder if we're the only contender that has games against 4 of the top 6 teams.

florida state will be fine.
if you're wondering where georgia is, they are #27. georgia has played the #125 most difficult schedule (out of 133 total).
