As an aside, for those that have Spectrum, ESPN Plus is going to part of one of their sports tiers, so if you're technologically illiterate but have Spectrum, you can make ESPN Plus a part of your channel lineup.
I subscribe to a Spectrum Internet/TV/Mobile bundle, but exclusively use the Spectrum APP on my TV and already have a subscription to ESPN Plus. But I may change if the price point and package is better.
Comcast and Spectrum are going to be rolling out an entirely new streaming platform which will include devices and TV's, it's going to be based on Comcast developed technology. I've been impressed while at my relatives with Comcast's features on their service.
YouTube TV (for example) is now every bit as expensive as CableTV, and once I factor in the discounts I'm getting on the bundle, YouTubeTV is more expensive that Spectrum which is an equal or possibly superior channel lineup.

Just hate to see so many K-Staters not living up to this . . .
:kstategrad:
My post is also for the K-Staters who do live up to :kstategrad:

Having the SEC network is definitely a flex, congrats Dax.
-
I'm pretty sure I get the SEC Network on YouTubeTV?

Yeah wondering/hoping I get it on YTTV or ESPN +.
-
Yes it should be on the base package for YTTV.
-
T's&p's to dax not being able to afford yttv #not :kstategrad:
-
I have youtube TV so I guess I'm definitely :kstategrad: . I do not actually pay for it, using my parents account. Some might say this is budget ballin, but I call it generational wealth.

My parents use my yttv account :kstategrad:
-
All kinds of inferior conference channels come with Hula TV, and I'm pretty sure the SEC network is one of them
-
Pretty sure SEC Network is on all cable packages everywhere. Like, I'm certain they're rockin' to Finebaum in Zimbabwe every afternoon. Disney is in the bag for the SEC and want as much exposure for them as possible.
-
T&P's to all who thought they were going to save money cutting the cord. :frown:
Disney-ESPN etc. still want those carriage rights fees no matter who is distributing their product.

Can't share cable

Dax, I'm sure you'll pull out of this poor financial situation soon enough and then you can enjoy yttv with the rest of us. Praying for you bud.

I love YTTV, but boy is it Terrible for baseball.
-
Yeah, you would think a sport that is barely hanging on would be a little more accommodating.
-
I save money by cutting the cord for non-football season. The ease of cancelling and restarting is a big benefit of streaming vs traditional.

I have an over the air antenna AND my parents cable internet login which they don't even know exists. Basically they keep paying $200 a month for the primo cable package and I just log in to the ESPN/FOX/HBO/ETC app on my tv with their login which they do not know exists because they are olds. Being in KC they get the SEC Network through their cable so all is well on saturday for ole ben ji.
The only downside is it sucks switching from one app to another to watch CFB on saturdays but its worth the $100+ a month I save.
-
Benji definitely took the cable co. filter off his coax cable to get all the channels back in the day.

I used to have regular cable about 5 years ago....After I returned the box I realized I still got Standard Definition cable for free which kept going on for a couple of years....it kind of sucked compared to HD but it was free...so yeah.
Then around 2 years ago my random SD cable got cut off so I had to hijack my parents login.

since it is all free to you just go buy a 2nd firestick or whatever. Honestly switching tv inputs is faster than most Direct TV or cable boxes
