Hello all, I am looking for a washer and dryer set for my new crib in the greater KCMO (Independence area) If anyone has any brands to look at or what to look for when getting new appliances let me know.

I ordered the second cheapest washer and the cheapest dryer at NFM. 7 years later they are fine and haven't broke once! Washer is a samsung and dryer is some brand I've never heard of.

I got one about 6 months ago.  Lowes was the quickest delivery by far.  I got the GE Washtower and am happy with it.

I have LGs and they have a billion features that I have no clue why/how to use but they definitely do some nice washing/drying.

Can confirm.  I bought a used washer and dryer set over 20 years ago for like $100 hoping they might last 5 years.  They're still running today.

Yep.  Seven year old Kenmore washer/dryer set 12 years ago.  Little bit of handymaning here and there and they're still running like champs.

Or make sure you have room to keep the washer door open to dry... it can get moldy in there otherwise.

I've never spent more time cleaning an appliance than I do cleaning that thing. No matter what it gets moldy and smelly. We always leave the door open, doesn't seem to matter.

Remember when Greg was just a bushy tailed undergrad at the Kansas State University? Now he's out here buying appliances

How will gE recruit the next batch of youngsters? We have clams who is finishing up his freshman year but that's about it. Maybe we need a gE tokTik?
