Title: Houston
Post by: ben ji on March 20, 2023, 02:53:01 PM
With our pud path the the final 4 let's get this thread fired up.

Anyone have any pro-tips on what area of Houston to stay in for the final 4? I'm planning to drive and looking for an area close to NRG that also has restaurants and bars in the area etc.

The hotels around nrg seem kinda iffy and I don't know if there's anything to do there. I think I'm gonna stay at the galleria.

Booked some random cheap suburb hotel just to have something. In the past Houston visits always stayed downtown and the light rail seemed to get to anything else halfway cool.

Yeah I watched about 5 minutes of the first half and shut it off. We had two lazy passes that were turnovers and I knew we didn't have it

Very sad/frustrating

Sometimes you get punked by a good team on the road and today was one of those days

It seems like the conf refs reward overly aggressive offenses. That seems to be the theme so far as far as what they let go vs what they call. If this is right, we have a rough run coming because we don’t play that. We have found our identity to be defensive. This year is going to be better measured in growth and not wins.

Yep. I can't imagine getting upset about this one, it was real over at the very first media timeout

The reasons to get upset is it exposed problems that are become persistent: excessive turnovers, poor effort on the defensive boards and lack of production from Perryl And on sad new trend of Cam getting in foul trouble. Tang has been complaining about turnovers since the season's start but hasn't addressed it.

I do have to wonder about Big 12 schedule makers who slotted K-State in for a late Wednesday road game and then an early Saturday road game.

They're the #1 defense in the conference, did you think our weaknesses wouldn't be issues against a team that has these things as strengths?

Trends and continuing issues. That's the point and the concern.
