So last night was scary as hell. We almost witnessed a death on the football field. I don’t ever recall ever seeing such an event. It’s looking like he’ll survive, so thank god and baby Jesus for that!
In terms of being the local POS, I have to ask, what do they do with last nights game? Chiefs had the 1 seed on the line. I had $150 on the Bengals last night. Fantasy Football championships were on the line. Etc. How do they sort this out, this late in the season, with the playoffs around the corner? Curious for a friend.

I would expect them to play it in next couple of days (similar with how they pushed games back for Covid in 2020). Otherwise, they might have to push back the entire season. I don't see how they skip a game for 2 teams that will be in the playoffs. Maybe they could call it a tie? That would hurt Buffalo's #1 seed if so.

Totally uneducated opinion but I think they will finish it tomorrow and flex buffalo's and Cincinnati's games next week to monday

That puts them up against the CFB championship as well as potentially a short week going into the playoffs for one or both of them (although they could give them Sunday playoff games to help some).
It still could be the best option out of a bunch of bad ones though.

there is no way the game will be played tomorrow. buffalo flew back home last night, and Hamlin's condition is going to be critical for at least several days

Neither of those things prevent them from playing tomorrow…

So does Vegas pay my $ back? Is the fantasy football championship just over then? I had Burrow down 20 points. :frown:

In that case, I don't see how they can do anything other than call it a tie.

It would be more like a no contest. Buffalo and Cincinnati get a 16 game schedule and everyone else has 17.
Wacky, can you chill? Obviously the casinos and betting sites will just refund all bets made on this game. They'll wait until it's officially a no-game would be my guess. Single game bets will be simple. Season over/unders and parlays and junk will be much more complex but they'll figure it out, you will be fine.
As far as fantasy goes, chill.

i think they will find a way to make it up. my guess is they would push the playoffs back one week, leave the super bowl where it is. pro bowl would be canceled or moved to saturday before the conference championship games.
in this scenario everybody plays week 18 games except new england and baltimore. cincinnati would play buffalo in week 18. the bills/patriots and bengals/ravens games would be moved to where the wild card games currently are (week 19), but only if they have playoff implications after the rest of the NFL has played their week 18 games. in all likelihood, they will.
