Who do we talk to about getting “junkyard cats” to be a thing? I thought we had it going in 2008 and then loser Mitch Holtus had to come up with that ridiculous Doberman’s thing. I still wear my junkyard cats T-shirt. I’m not even sure you can make the cat head golf club cover out anymore.
-
planning to tune in to watch the cats jyc UTRGV's face off!!!

Curtis Kelly should narrate more stuff. He's amaze.

Can't share your zeal on this one, Pete.

Hey UT Rio Grande, you're going down idiots.
-
I'll count the game as a success if we don't have to full-court press just to get back in the game against an inferior opponent.
-
People sleeping on Coach Figg. Figg learned scheme from Frank, the best in the business.

Getting 2006-07 vibes guys!!!!

That season was a great ride with lots of joy and highs and hope for the future. One of the most fun seasons I’ve been a part of for any sport.

“THE LITTLE APPLE IS TURNING INTO DUNK CITY!!!”
Is this what it means to be “emotionally drunk”???
-
we will simply be unable to lose a game
-
we will simply be unable to lose a game
Do you think we will even trail in any games this year? I don’t see how a team could even get on the scoreboard before these Cats.
-
It's going to be nice to be peeling off hundos multiple times a season.
-
And no. No I won't be taking into account the competition.
-
I'm concerned. Being a National Brand I think the expectation is going to be we show good sportsmanship from time to time, and just winning every game 100-60 might hurt the image.
Counterpoint: maybe we just lean into it? Be the bad boys of college basketball. Be the '86 Mets of college basketball
-
Someone better get the snow blower ready... Oh God is that Keith Hernandez's music?
-
markquis really no-looked that 3
-
a year ago we were trailing Florida A&M in the second half
-
I enjoy seeing shots fall.
-
Nigel who the eff?
-
Getting 50 points in one half ain’t bad for a bunch of Dom Sutton try hards
-
Nigel who the eff?
good player on a bad team
-
This is going to be a fun season.
-
what i learned from stan weber is to look for the extra pass with 1 second left
-
Am I alone in thinking we look noticeably better with Johnson on the floor, which is no surprise considering he's our best player.
-
Goooooooooddddddd Damn
-
Ball movement and half-court offense. Oscar ball is gone, gone, gone.
-

significant improvement over nigel pak
-
The Harlem Globetrotters don't win this easily.

Band should probably learn Sweet Georgia Brown just to be on the safe side
-
Cal couldn't make a better hire than Mark Fox?
-
massoud has a nicer, simpler looking shot
-
My only complaint so far is that we’re a little too sleeve-y for my taste.

He's got his feet set and stepping into the basketball, not those half-ass fades he specialized in last year.
-
We’re lots of fun and the other team is wearing girls’ uniforms.
-
Bay Bay took it personally that his starting spot was given to N'Guessan, he's been good and David definitely took a step back tonight.
-
That appeared to be a soft t
-
These referees don't seem to like us very much.
-
I wanna put a ton on the scoreboard.
-
We would have had a hundo if my guy N'Guessan didn't miss layups on 3 straight trips after the under 4.
-
Love Tang calling out the olds
-

I seriously thought they had a female on their team when the pony tailed Johnson came onto the court. I thought "woah, cool!" only to be disappointed by the beard.
-
The other team’s uniforms were great you weird olds

Are you talking about the flop? If so Stan was saying flopping is a point of emphasis this year so probably expect more calls like that.
-
Only listened to part of the first half, but looking at the box score I'm happy to see our TOs improved and and FT really improved. Both can improve a smidge but I'll take 70% + FT and sub 15 TOs in a game every time.
-
Love Tang calling out the olds
I mean, sure. He needs to know it's going to take a few weeks to get the thing packed 100% again and it was a Monday night game, in MHK, which many had just traveled home from the weekend. They also played a dog crap opponent. It will definitely grow soon.
-
Don’t think we are going to get any 100% capacity crowds this year with maybe KU being the exception.
-
I'd say the Wichita State, Baylor, and Florida games could be close to full capacity if they keep winning. All Saturday games other than Baylor.
-
I remember packed weeknight games in the Pullen era, but I agree with wacks, oscar really destroyed the program
-
I think infinity lobs ending in two handed dunks will bring ppl back faster than oscar’s strict rule against scoring more than 60pt/game ran them off. Who knows? Maybe I am just an optimist.
-

If only we had teleportation devices by now. I'd definitely go to more games during the week. The old in me hates driving anymore.
Also, it took us like an hour to get out of MHK on Saturday. Seriously, wtf was that all about? That new indoor facility really took out a lot of great parking options, but I'm sure it's necessary.
-
That appeared to be a soft t

I'm not sure about the new point of emphasis or whatever, but there was some contact on that T. The ref should have just called a blocking foul and moved on.
-

Not so sure about your guy tbh. Tall and can shoot I guess. Bay^2 though, he’s just everywhere

No, Tomlin's T after his dunk. They showed a replay of him yelling after the dunk, then he ran up the court, not saying a word. Then on the replay his face is turned away from the camera for a fraction of a second right before he was hit with the T. Whatever he said couldn't have been more than 2 or 3 words.
I actually appreciate Stan discussing the flop T, shows he did at least some homework. I can't believe we have gotten two of those already. Awarding them for block/charge flops seems really arbitrary though. There was definitely contact with Bay Bay on that play, I don't love giving referees the latitude to determine whether or not contact merits falling back or falling down.
-
The flop T in the exhibition was a terrible call

Agree, It should be used for guys who are guarding around the arc flopping from a push/elbow, than being used in a block/charge situation IMO

The flop T in the exhibition was a terrible call
Announcers last night said that whatever governing body oversees the officials has given them performance metrics on this new rule with implications on future opportunity based on compliance of calling it.

Hopefully they update the metrics to clarify that there will also be future implications for calling it wrong.

I thought he was going to get the T for hanging onto the rim too long. Was weird to see him get the foul on the other end of the court. I was just glad he didn't hurt himself landing on the basketball, honestly.

Selling all the tickets and people attending are two different things. Especially if the cats somehow find themselves in Arlington on the same day.

It's all fun and games to show team spirit and rivalry, but let's remember to keep things light-hearted and respectful. Sports can be a great way to bring people together and celebrate competition. And if you ever need information about granite tombstone prices (https://vancouvergranite.com/best-material-for-gravestone/), various resources are available to help you make informed decisions. Remember, it's important to approach discussions and interactions with kindness and sportsmanship. Enjoy the game, and may the best team win!
