I have no idea. Nobody really cares or talks about basketball in Texas so I’ve been completely isolated from it.

Yes, it was squawks over tar heels.

I'd completely forgotten by June, was reminded during the NBA draft.  And then I forgot again - actually not realizing I'd forgotten again - until listening last night to a local-focused podcast by an ESPN NBA writer from here.  They did a segment where he gives his co-host 10 players to watch this season.  One was a squawk, and the co-host was incredulous to hear he played at kansas and that kansas won, and that the final was them vs. unc, so much that the host then was almost questioning it.  It was around the 40:30 mark of this: http://sonicscentral.com/peltoncast/2022/10/19/peltoncast-no-334/

i remember ku winning in 1988 pretty rough ridin' crystal clearly, but the idea that they won last year seems completely made up although i couldn't guarantee that it's false.
